Yes, Yes and you have to change your habits. When you think you want to eat go get a nice big glass of water. Comfort eating is just that so a glass of water will discourage you from eating. Also just go find something to do instead of grabbing that snack, laundry, go for a walk, any thing.

Yes, emotions contribute a lot to what and when you eat. If you are looking for comfort, look to places other than food. What else makes you feel good? Go for a walk or bike ride, read a book, paint your nails - anything that will keep your mind off of food. Drink lots of water to help curb your appetite and chew on a piece of sugarless gum.

i dont think i really eat more when im upset.. my problem is when im bored.. If i cant find something to do, i am digging through the fridge trying to find something to eat.
