About a month ago my cat jumped onto a table in my room and knocked it over. There was a glass jar on it and it broke on my shag rug. I tried to vacuum up all of the glass but I kept hearing sounds like tiny shards were still being picked up. It would have been impossible to get it all, the vacuum wouldn't stop making noises. Two days ago I was walking across my floor when I stepped on something that I'm pretty sure was a piece of glass. My foot started bleeding and I haven't been able to walk on it since I cut it. Now there's a little bump where the cut was but it doesn't feel like there's anything in it. I've tried everything to get it to feel better, rub on pain relievers, neosporin, and some of that stuff that's supposed to draw things out of your skin if there's something stuck in it. What do I do? I've run out of ideas!!!

I'm 6'2" and overweight about 20lbs. in the gut? I'm a long time smoker pack a day...have trouble breathing after trying to play a simple sport with my kid like throwing a baseball back and forth a few minutes. I mow lawns on the side...but pace myself, it's only once a week, maybe even longer if the grass won't grow. Even then I sweat like a " Hog on Steroids " sometimes I feel like I could lay down and take a nap often after doing just about anything, I'm exhausted...obviously I'm unemployed, and have been for years now. I'm about 265 lbs. and feel like a worthless sloth...

I'm twelve years old, and a few days ago I was taking a shower. In the shower I tend to brush my hair. So I was brushing my hair with my right arm. Then something snapped between my arm and the back of my neck. It hurt. I felt like I was going to faint. My body felt heavy and I was breathing fine, but it felt like it wasn't doing any good. So then I started seeing these.. It's hard to explain.. It's like when you take a paint brush and splash paint against the wall. Sort of blotches of colors in my eyes. Then I couldn't see at all. I closed the shower and grabbed a towel and began to feel the walls towards the door. When I got to the door I struggled with finding the handle. So I opened my eyes as wide as I can. And I saw this faint white outline of the sink which is right beside the door. So I managed to open the door and run through my basement and up the stairs. My eye sight began to come back on the way up. My Mom made me lye down for a bit and then (continued)

My mom was watching my 2 year old daughter yesterday. When I got home from work my daughter was screaming and my mom claimed she didn't know what happened. Well I saw little blisters on her hand so its obvious she burned herself somewhere. My mom says maybe it was from a pan when she was cooking. (I know my moms irresponsible as hell you don't have to tell me...I don't think I'll be leaving the baby with her ever again). But I called the doctor,he told me to keep it clean and put neosporin on it. But today the blisters seem to be worse. What should I do? Can this be normal??

my mom has been in the hospital for about 2 days. she was having really bad stomach aches and so we took her. The doctors are keep giving us the run around it seems and I don't know what to do. My mom has been bleeding from her vaginal area but the thing is she got a hysterechtamy about 4-5 months ago. Is this normal or not? I don't think it is and the scary part is that last night the nurse asked her to pee in a hat and she has been having a hard time going pee pee and she tried and I was in the restroom with her. She told me that she was going pee pee and I could hear it. When she got up the hat was full of blood and it seemed to have a lot of red chunky stuff in it. She was scared and i told her not to panic that she was ok. I called the nurse and she told me they were going to call a dr. but they didn't because they said her blood discharge was normal and that her blood pressure was normal too so they had no need to call him. what is going on here??? I want to know what is wrong .

I have an old knee injury that flares up every now and then, and as a waitress, it happens alot. I recently called into work saying I could not work, and I got treated very rudely. I came in with a doctors not, and I got more rudeness. I went in today to get next weeks schedule, and to find out if there was anyway I could not work tomorrow as scheduled, and once again I got treated unfairly. All this rudeness is from one manager, and she's just the assistant manager. What actions should I take? Should I quit and get on welfare (HAHA)? Just call in tomorrow? Call corprate or talk to another manager?

I am currently searching for a new job, I am more concerned right now about not going to work tomorrow. The doctors have given me a full leg brace to keep my leg straight, and I have to wear it till next week.... the manager I keep having to deal with does not care. My shift tomorrow is a short shift, I would not be missed, and business would carry on as usual without me

I broke my fibula ankle and went to the ortho today and i got my cast off. The doctor said an xray wasnt neccasry. I couldwalk/limp with a little pain and discomfort after i got home. But now a few hrs later there is a big bruse on the middle of my foot. I noticed it when i was walking and i felt pain in that area so i checked it out and saw the big bruise. The bruise is a definite bump and its red/purple and in the middle of it there's what looks like white puss or some kind of white part. Ive been walking around all day to try to exercise it. But now the bruised part is painful and its scary looking at it

I sprung my finger playing ball. What can I do besides icing (Wrapped in Ice) it to get it to heal? Any suggestions?

I was walking my German Shepherd a few days ago when he made a sudden movement. It jerked the leash and I felt a sudden sharp burning pain in my wrist. Most of the pain went away after a few minutes, but now I have noticed alot of pain in my thumb at the joint where you bend your thumb at. Its a dull constant pain, not horrible but certainly noticable.

I don't think a doctor could do much for this type of injury, I can still bend & use the thumb so maybe it's not broken? I didn't want to spend the $ to see a doctor if there's nothing they can do about it, I know some injuries just have to heal on their own.

Any advice from you RN's out there? :)

I fell down the stairs and had to wear a brace on my wrist for a couple weeks. I have taken it off, but still have pain at times. Certain ways i bend it brings the pain on. Also, there is alot of snap, krackle and pop in there now. How do i know if i sprained it or fractured it. I can't afford an x ray.

I fell from about two feet up a few days ago, but at the time I didn't think I was hurt. A few hours later, my ankle started bothering me, so I got some ice... it ached all the next day (yesterday), so I got a compression wrap for it, and also kept it wrapped today. The aching went down a little, so I took off the wrap for an hour or so after work, but now the pain in my ankle seems to be worse. It doesn't ache anymore, but when I walk, I feel a stab of pain slightly in front of the area below my anklebone. I've wrapped it again, but is this normal? Should I be worried? (There's no swelling or bruising.)

Yesterday I snapped a bone in my ankle while wrestling.
about 1/2 hour after this happened, things started sounding really muffled, and I had trouble seeing things, and I felt like I was about to pass out. My Blood pressure dropped to 62/32, and apparently i got rellly pale. and i sweated buckets.

this made me curious. does anyone know why this is?
