I suppose everyone is different, your age and fitness level may determine how long it will take to recover. I have suffered whiplash and now 8 years later I have problems when the weather is cold, my neck stiffens up. Just take things nice and easy and don't try to do things to early, you may damage yourself more.

I had an accident several years ago when some **** pulled out in front of me, i didn't want to hit oncoming traffic so turned the wheel and ended up crashing head on into a high grass verge, I head butted the steering wheel so hard that it bent the top half of it right back, and the seat belt took the skin off my chest and hurt my stomach. I had a large lump on my forehead and a fractured nose, but i recovered preety quick, infact i went to work the next day. I think if you sit around feeling sorry for yourself then the pain will drag on but if you get back out there as normal you will recover quicker.

Impossible to say, pretty obviously no one here can a assess the severity or nature of your injuries without a full physical examination.

It will depend on your age and general health. The younger and healthier the quicker recovery. You may still have problems with arthritis finding the weaker spots in your old age.
