A little know fact is that broken bones actually hurt LESS than sprains. Many people think that a bone can't be broken if you aren't in excruciating pain, but that's a myth. It is possible to have chipped a bone with only slight discomfort, especially if the person has a good pain tolerance level. The only way to tell is through an x-ray.
Hope this helps. :-)

Yes! It is very possible to have a bone spur or chip and not know what it is. You can also get what is called Hairline or Stress Fractures. This tend to hurt as if they are a dull pain that can't be isolated. I had Tibia Stress Fractures for 4 months and didn't know that it wasn't bruising. The only way to determine if you have a broken bone is through X-ray or Bone Scan.

It COULD BE possible but not probable. Anytime anything happens in that way, the chance of pain is USUALLY 100%. That happened with a foot / ankle injury I had years ago. Much of the pain had settled down, and I couldn't figure out why I still had pain in a certain part of my foot. The doc looked at the xrays previously made and found a small chip above the arch of my foot. It was so slight, no casting would have helped. It eventually healed on its on, but I "squealed like a pig," inwardly, while I waited for it to heal. Ouch!

That depends on your tolerance for pain. I broke my ankle, chipped the bone, and still worked on it the next day until the swelling got to bad. So yes you can. You should go get it exrayed to make sure that's all you did.

The bone at times is very hard to heal you should go to the doctor and have it checked before you get an infection and make it worse. It's always good to know what the outcome may or may not be.

I snapped the two bones in the two forearms in a dirt motorbike crash approximately 10 years in the past. My motorbike bogged out on the bounce, so it did no longer propel me all a thank you to the landing ramp. nostril-wheel hit the returned of the landing ramp, so I went from 30mph to 0mph in 0 feet. I braced for result via clutching the grips tight, which finally substitute into what made my palms snap. Left hand touched my left elbow at one factor (which i'm oddly pleased with). staggering forearm substitute into at a ninety diploma perspective. gave the impact of i had 2 elbows. nonetheless supplies me the heebie geebies thinking approximately it lol

there is pain associated with anything that has enough force to chip a piece of bone off. that means it would ahve to go through muscle tissue, and skin. if it chiped the bone you would be screaming from the pain.

Yes,
I've broken my foot and had little pain. It depends on your tolerance and the injury. I would go to the doctor and get it checked.

yes it is... i have done it a few times. for me, it hurt to touch, and some violent movement would hurt a little, but i played through a season of football, and a season of lacrosse before i got x-rays done on my wrist, and found that i chipped the end of my radius.
