I'm twelve years old, and a few days ago I was taking a shower. In the shower I tend to brush my hair. So I was brushing my hair with my right arm. Then something snapped between my arm and the back of my neck. It hurt. I felt like I was going to faint. My body felt heavy and I was breathing fine, but it felt like it wasn't doing any good. So then I started seeing these.. It's hard to explain.. It's like when you take a paint brush and splash paint against the wall. Sort of blotches of colors in my eyes. Then I couldn't see at all. I closed the shower and grabbed a towel and began to feel the walls towards the door. When I got to the door I struggled with finding the handle. So I opened my eyes as wide as I can. And I saw this faint white outline of the sink which is right beside the door. So I managed to open the door and run through my basement and up the stairs. My eye sight began to come back on the way up. My Mom made me lye down for a bit and then (continued)

(Continued part) - I got up, but that took a large amount of effort beacuse of my arm and neck hurt alot. So it's been a few days and my neck and arm are better. There's still a bit of pain. But when I went to sleep last night I kept waking up (partly because the radio was on) and my right arm felt sort of numb. It's like that feeling you get when your arm is about to fall asleep. It felt numb and on the brink of falling asleep and it wouldn't go away. I could move it and everything, no pain, but it felt so weird.

It's still there but I don't really notice it.

What should I do?

I don't understand why your parents did not bring you to the doctor by now. Insist that you want to see one. No one can examine you here. Please go and good luck.

strained ligaments. Even if you do possibly have a pinched nerve, in either case there is nothing the doctor can do. Take Advil until the discomfort goes away.

That sounds pretty bad. Your mom should take you to a doctor.

Good luck, Honey!
