well i was just foolin around then i felt this sharp pain in my thumb then i just got up and started to look at my thumb and it hurted like sharply!! then i didnt care but now if i move it back or move it alot it hurts like crap... do u think i have a sprained thumb o and i dont have ny bruising or stuff like that but it does seem a little swollen???

Well, it doesn't sound good, but here's the question -- is it already the weekend where you are? If it is, I'd pack it with ice for now, (follow the RICE sequence of "rest, ice, compression and elevation"), and take it easy for the weekend. If it still hurts like crap on Monday morning, see a doctor.

If you start running a high fever (very unlikely), you might consider an emergency room visit, but otherwise, I'd wait and see. Don't fool around for the rest of the weekend, though! Immobilize that thumb!

Sounds dislocated to me. Have your dr. x-ray and see. Until then use the universal injury anagram:

RICE
R - Rest
I - Ice (20m on, 20m off)
C - Compression (wrap not too tightly)
E - Elevation (keep it above your heart.)
