Have you seen a docter yet? This could be serious. About your cousin.... sit down and put a pillow under his head so you don't loose grip of him? Sorry I'm not of much help!

Best of wishes!

You could have a concussive injury to your shoulder in addition to your elbow. You could have injured the soft connective tissue and it is possible to have a tear in it. Keep the elbow and shoulder immobile. Wear a sling or make one with a scarf or a bath towel and don't move it. For pain, try using motrin or another anti-inflammatory medication. Tylenol will work a bit but it won't help with inflammation. Don't rotate the shoulder or flex the elbow unnecessarily. Use ice on the elbow to prevent swelling. Do not participate in any physical activity until you have the elbow and shoulder evaluated by a doctor. It may be necessary to have an xray done to check for any fracture. You will have to hold your cousin with the other arm or just sit him on your lap without lifting him. You have to improvise to avoid aggravating your injury.

Make an appointment asap to have the situation evaluated. Hope it's just minor but if it isn't, you need to find out immediately so it can heal properly.

Ow, that sounds painful. You need to use ice, as you probably know. Picking the boy up will probably hurt you. Since he is old enough to stand and to walk, I suggest you get down to his level, lower your good arm, and have him sit on your forearm. You can use your weaker arm just to steady him.
