First Aid

My family and I live in an area where misquitos are out of control !!!! My hubby and a couple of our children are not bothered by them, while myself and a couple of our other children are. Does anyone have any suggestions of internal, like something we can eat or take, that would ward them off, and then any idea's to help with the itching when we get them ?
Bug spray does not count....I need tougher measures.....bug spray, even with deet is not helping here.......

I got stung by a bee on the bottom of my foot on Sunday. Now, it itches like crazy!!! I put a bandaid on it, and it swelled up, and the itching hasn't stopped! HELP!!!

I didn't know I was allergic to poison ivy, but I got it. I thought it was a mosquito bite, but it got worse. I tried hot water, rubbing alcahol, calamine lotion, Ivarest lotion, and a cold shower with little or no effect! I had to go to the doctor and get steroids tto help with the rashes and itching. Are there any remedies that ou've tried that actually bring relief from the itching?!

I'm sick of everyone hatin EMS providers...we are like nothing to you untill we have to pick your sorry *** up after you fell down drunk or some **** like that.
You watch these TV shows like SAVED and let me tell ya that really isnt what EMS is about so give us some credit man. We spend hours and hours training and away from our families jsut to help people we dont know. EMS isnt a job its a life. No one joins a squad just for the hell of it... its gotta be in your blood

My sister is 20 years old she just took about 12-13 aleve pills. she said she doesn't want to live anymore, my mom came over and gave her milk, i don't think that will do anything. we told my sister that we r taking her to the ER but she said No she isn't going anywhere and is beign very dramatic if we touch her. what can we do? and will anythink happen to her? i told my mom we HAVE to take her to get help!

I was making pancakes and when I tried to flip it, grease splashed my face. I'm using antibiotic cream and calendula. My burns are blistering, which means 2nd degree burn, but they stopped hurting about 1hr after the incedent so they can't be too bad. So what kind of burn do I have??? Also, how can I speed up the healing process? I have weird looking brown blotches and oozing blisters on my face!
