Have you tried Skin So Soft (spray oil mist / reg scent) by Avon? I do not like the regular bug sprays that are available to spray on the skin. I also take Garlic tablets, and I have found that by cutting the sugar out of my diet has helped for me as well. However everyones body is different. When bitten, if I do, I use what is called 'After Bite' roll on sticks. If you don't have this in your area, Hydrogen Peroxide or Calamine Lotion maybe, however I am sure you have tried this. Just remember that when itching a mosquito bite, it spreads the poison.

Citronella candles I light when outside. I also have tiki torches that have the citronella fuel. I got rid of my water fountains, ponds, and any standing water that is in my yard. For the pool however, I do have the automatic cover, and treat it regularly.

I don't know what kind of conditions that surround your property line or your neighbors for that matter. You might want to ask them as well, as what they do to prevent mosquitoes. I know this has helped reduce the mosquitoes within mine. Hope this helps a little.

This sounds nuts, but put a bounce dryer sheet in your belt loop, or the tip tucked into your waistband when you are outside. After a mosquito has bitten either hydrocortison cream or liquid benydryl taken as directed will help with the itching. Keep your property clear of any standing water: bird baths, old tire swings, children's toys left in the yard collect water. Also keep your property clear of high grasses and weeds. Also call your local health dept. With west nile virus such a threat, they may be able to contact the city in which you live and have your area regularly sprayed.

An old remedy when insect sprays do not work...eat a tablet of cream of tarter daily, you can buy them at the grocery. My grandmother swore by it.

I used to have the same problem. I discovered it was a vitamin deficiency, and when I started taking multi vitamins, the mosquitoes stopped biting. You need to talk to your doctor, or a pharmacist and find out what treatment you can take.

My problem seemed to be B vitamin. Many of the internet sites I looked at said vitamin B is not effective against mosquitoes. When I used it, I got zero bites. I also stopped using any cosmetics, and I washed my entire body twice a day.

It is also suggested apply insect repellent to exposed skin. The recommended repellent contains 20 to 35 percent DEET.

Try something with Aloe Vera to alleviate the pain. Look for places with shank ed water, there the mosquito's grow, so throw that water away. Kill as many as you can, try to sleep with something covering like a rug or something similar, so you wont be getting bite by them.
