I was reading a book, and someone asked for bactine. I'm guessing it's some kind of disenfectant? What exactly is it, and how do you pronounce it? Bac-teen, or bac-tine(long i)?

Bactine is a first aid product to help prevent skin infection and for the temporary relief of pain and itching associated with minor cuts, scrapes and burns. It is pronounced bac-teen.

It is pronounced bac-teen, it is an infection protection first aid liquid. I keep it in my cabinet and use it regularly. I am reading it from the bottle so I will tell you what it is for. Relieves pain and itch on contact asit kills germs, no sting.you can use it for cuts, burns, insect bites, scratches, itching, almost anything that you can think of, It is a clear liquid with a unique odor to it.

Bactine is a first aid liquid disinfectant. It is said to be no sting but as all liquids it stings some. It is pronounced Back-teen. I dont reccomend it I would rather use neosporin ointment.

I've always heard it said "back-teen". I think it has an antiseptic and a mild anagesic or numbing agent. This would be a really good question for a phamacist!

Bactien (bac-teen) is a disinfectant used for cuts scrapes most any injury but i mostly use it for piercings
