Constant ear and throat infections can be caused by allergies. Try over the counter antihistamines like Claritin for a full week along with a decongestant. (I suggest Claritin because it claims to not cause drowsiness, which is beneficial if you are trying to work or go to school.) It's a lot cheaper than going to an Allergist. And if you have no improvement in a week, then you know you have something else going on and it's time to see a doctor.

Did you have a stuffy nose? I know if you have boogers in your throat then the pressure will eventually go to your ears and sometimes your ears will pop. You really need to see a doctor. I used to get bad ear infections to the point where i had to go to the doctors. The doctor had told me that i was lucky that i went when i did or else i could have lost me hearing. The doctor will give you ear drops and antibiotics and that should fix up your throat problem. Have you ever tried Mucinex? Its a medicine for coughs. It gets out all the boogers from your throat. Besides home remedies that you having been looking at, maybe youshould try over the counter at walmart. I'm sure they have eyedrops. Even cvs does. You should really see a doctor for your ears though.

My sister and I used to suffer alot from ear/throat infections until we were 6 and 7 years old. After our parents had our tonsils removed, we never experienced another infection again. It's been 25 years since the operation and the ice cream meals.

We rarely catch cold or get the flu. And we can't relate to anyone who complains about swollen glands, since we cannot recall the physical experience. You should consult with your doctor for proper resolution of your problem.

I had a nurse tell me years ago before my children were born (20 years ago) that I shold regularly vacuum the mattresses on my beds to prevent my children from getting ear infections. It would help eliminate the bacteria where their ears were laying for hours per day. It also elimates microscopic dust mites (present in all dust particles), in which may people have allergies to.

I'm not sure if it worked, or we were just lucky, but 20 years and 3 kids later: NEVER ONE EAR INFECTION!

Hope it works for you

u have GOT to see a doctor u could lose ur hearing!!! heat applied to area such as a heating pad to side of head, be careful not to have it to hot. or i know a home remedy passed down from generations...here it is, urinate in a cup & put 2 dropss in each ear. no joke, it really works, urine is the most sterile thing in ur body so it will not make the infection worse. let me know if u try this....

My mother who is a doctor used to do this with us: She'd go and buy a bottle of Camphophenique. She would warm it in water. Then, with a dropper, she'd put it in our ears and shove pure cotton in there. It really helps. I wish you had health coverage, but at least do the Campho. It worked for us all those years ago.

Allergy, adenoid vegetation or immuno deficiencies may be reason for it. However, chronic sinusitis may also trigger such complaints so you should better have a blood test and X-Rays first. after assuring the diagnosis appropriate treatment may cure the disease.
