I got hit in the back of my hand with a hockey puck while doing lines about 2 or 3 weeks ago, it was very swollen for that day but the swelling was gone the next day and no bruise ever appeared, yet it is still sore now and is starting to get annoying

For almost every day the past 2 months I've been having pretty severe back pain that somtimes runs around my rib cage and into my chest, mostly contained to the left side of my body. For the last 4 or 5 months I've been taking 100mg of TOPROL XL/day (50mg morning, 50 mg evening), to help with my tachycardia. I have no past history of back or chest problems before this. Could the medication be causing it? I've had CT scans & an MRI done both coming back normal. I saw a chiropractor for 5 straight days last week w/ limited relief. I was presricibed 500mg Viciodan and Soma w/ little help coming from these. At times the pain is unbearable, please help.

I have what it seems to be a sore throat, but only it's not cuz it's only on 1 side. It's on the right side of my throat, and it's making my right ear hurt. I've had my tonsils taken out so I know that can't be it. Does anyone know what it could be?

My back has been hurting since i woke up this morning until now which is 5 ish. Wondering if anyone knows anything to help me. I don't have any back problems and it doesn't happen often im thinking i slept on it wrong but i have taken aspirin and it not helping. so yeah i don't know what wrong. The best way to describe it feels like i almost have sunburn. I pretty much had no voice yesterday but today it come back for the most part. i don't think that would affect it but i figure i throw it out there.
Any advice would be great. considering that doctors will be close tomorrow because of Christmas!

It's been going on for a few weeks now. The first little while I would get sharp shooting pains in my lower right abdomen, then it would go away and just ache for a little while. Then I got woken up a few days ago by sharp shooting pains in my upper left abdomen. That also went away in a few seconds and then just ached. Today I woke up with aching in my upper right abdomen. I'm wondering if its pain that could be radiating from somewhere else? I'm really worried.

my friend's only 23 but he has a problem with his back at the lumbar region.
it started since about 7 years when his backs start to hurt frequently.probably every month.
he went to 10th of doctors but they gave him medications that didn't help at all.even strongest pain killers can't help decrease the pain.
so please tell me anyway to help him.it's really painful that he can't sleep :S

The bill was for $45,000.00. My insurance company paid approximately $43,000.00. Then the hospital sent me a bill for the difference. Isn't there some kind of law stating that they can't do that??

I am located in NYC, if that matters.

my upper shoulder gets really achy, and an uncomfortable sensation in the "joint" that connects the right shoulder to the arm. I think it's called the rotor cup - well can I get arthiritis in there or is this something else? There is also a slight aching in the collar bone, the part closest to the shoulder... please help. I am taking Lyrica for Fibromyalgia / depression / pain.
I have been taking it for 6 months.

After a month or so I noticed my ankles and arms were swelling almost daily.

During the 2nd and 3rd month after a 3+ week exercise (yeah - exercise, I actually Felt like and Could do) routine where I should have been loosing weight like crazy - I Gained 20 pounds. I was exercising And walking about 3 miles a day.

Now after 6 months I still have the weight on.
I continue to have spells of blurred vision.
My Balance is off at times and my concentration and memory have Not improved (possible worse if that is possible...)

I do however continue to feel like I am doing better with it than without it as the pain doesn't seam so intense nor last for so long at a time. I don't seam so Worried about things nor as depressed.

For now I want to continue with it.
Though That Awesome feeling (3 weeks) Is gone - Maybe not Forever??

Do the Drugs I am taking pose a threat

I am in such pain from a TKR, its been almost 6 weeks. My Doctors tell me it will go away and have conservatively presecribed 5 milligrams of Percoset 2 times a day and Alleive 4 tablets every 4 hours. The Doctors tell me that the underlying tissue has been cut and put back in place and it will take some time. I think the time should have shown some releif (6 weeks). The Doctors are very much against giving narcotic pain medication in fear of addiction. I understand their position but I feel the need for pain medication just to get up from the chair. Physical Therapy is grueling. I feel that I should not have gone through with the operation and would do anything to have my pre operation pain and old knee back. Sometimes I think the Doctors are minimizing or thinking Im boasting the pain level. The implant is fine according to x-rays, there is no infection, my range of motion is about 98 degrees and physical therapy seems to be going well. CAN ANYONE OUT THERE SHARE SOME INSIGHT????

I don't have my period or anything because i had it this month. But my lower adomen hurts and I think i'm constipated. Is that normal, if your constipated? both sides hurt, I'm drinking alot of water right now. Other than constipation, why does it hurt? I also had a wet dream, does it have to deal with it also? Last night I had a horrible experience with acid reflux. This is the second time I've had stomach acid come up and burn my throat. I am currently taking Prilosec and my indigestion has been gone for weeks now . What can I take immediately to stop the burning in my throat whenever it occurs? I've tried water, milk, TUMS, crackers but nothing seems to help. My throat feels like someone has cleaned it with a bottle brush, it is very raw. I know the longer stomach acid stays in my throat the more damage it will do.

I've had sustitus before (sorry if spelt incorrectly) cause by sex...
it burns after i pee, and i feel like i need to pee often and not much comes out, sustitus.
i got put on anti-biotics last time, i cant keep getting pills from the hospital, i often get it after sex, as does my dad.
but i dont wanna talk to my dad bout it xD
does it go away naturally after time?

condoms, pill, coil etc are 99% safe so 1 person in 100 can get pregnant Pill does not stop you getting an STD. Most people do not normally show sysmtoms of pregnancy in the first few weeks so if you are 1 week late and feel sick it does not mean you are pregnant. If he says he is sterile or condoms dull the feeling DO NOT believe him. Keep safe and careful.Happy Christmas and New year
