Apply ice (20 minutes on, 20 minutes off), rest, and elevate it. If its unbearable pain in the morning, have a medical provider take a look. If itr feels a little better, wear an ACE wrap for a week and use crutches for a few days.

Tomorrow you get to the ER and have an Xray taken, they will tell you if it has a fracture or not and give you instruction haw to treat it. I any case you will be off that ankle for a while. Make plans how to spend your time on the couch, with the leg elevated and get some good reading or study your text books. Be sure not to run into any more trees. Peaceful and quiet Christmas, while you mend and heal.

Even a doctor will need an x-ray to determine the extent of the damage. You need to go see one, guess it's a clinic with the machine, or the hospital for you.

If it is swollen and painful, you have a significant injury. A physical exam by a trained professional is a very good idea. Best wishes and good luck.

It may require an MRI to tell for sure. A bad sprain is as disabling as a fracture, and can take longer to heal. Physical therapy may be required.

Try going to the emergency room and getting it xrayed. Noone on here is going to be able to tell you that.
