I stand all day, with very few if not any breaks. I don't even really get to move around all that much. I was wondering if anyone had any good tips or know of any good insoles or products to help alleviate some of the pain. Thanks. BTW, I currently wear Superfeet (the green ones) purchased from Fleet Feet, which do help. *I will NOT get custom orthotics, did this once and it cost me a fortune and did absolutely nothing.

My brother and I have been very close all of our lives. He’s a laid back guy with a good sense of humor that prided himself on his work ethic (foreman of a crew building pools).
About a year ago he was in a tragic car accident that left him paralyzed from the waist down L His physical recovery has come full circle, but I worry about his emotional recovery. He doesn’t do much… mostly vids and movies, he doesn’t work or anything. He survives off Workman’s comp (since he was driving for work when the accident happen). He has gone back to school for his GED, and plans on going to collage, sometime between his vids and watching movies!?!

I love him so much and it saddens me to know that he really doesn’t feel he has a reason to get up in the morning L

I’m not looking for pity, just like scenarios and advise please.

thx to all

Back in April I had pain localized around my gallbladder-- under my right rib cage. The pain is like soreness or tenderness, but it only hurts below the skin and not any particular organ or muscle. No bone pain either. It feels like breast tenderness but elsewhere in the body. Otherwise I can describe it as like when you lean over a hard egde and bruise your tissue over your ribs....or hit your shin and the flesh is tender.
Gradually it spread to more of my abdomen. Then both my sides. Then up my back. Then into my fatty tissue on the arms and shoulders...then my neck, even my ears and face sometimes hurt!! It goes into the fat on my thighs, and then the pad inside of my knees, too. Sometimes it goes to the feet but that is rare.
I am most sensitive on the abdomen above the gut and around the belly button. Just brushing my handover my skin hurts.
After a while I developed chills at night. Now, I have headaches, I SWEAT alot, am clammy, get dizzy and nauseted etc.
Any gueses??

I'm overweight, and I've always had problems with my ankles, and lately I've been losing weight cause of excersize, but all the extra strain on my feet is making me feel alot of leg pain. On top of all that, I have flat feet, and if all this wasnt bad enough, i don't have insurance to see a podiatrist. I have orthodics, but I was wondering what would be a way to treat my ankle pain?

...I had surgery and was instructed to take high dose prescription ibuprofen but now I can't sleep without it. I wake up in the middle of the night and think I'm in a lot of pain. Maybe I AM in a lot of pain? The surgery was very minor and it has been almost a month.

I was thinking about this the other day. Some wounds, which seem really small, still get stitched while other huge ones don't. In general, what size of a cut would require sutures?

I don't normally drink, and being christmas I decided to have a half a bottle of beer and less than half of a glass of that irish cream stuff. Maybe about an hour or two later, I wasn't feeling well and started to vomit. Since last night I've vomited approx. 6 or 7 times starting with food and now a yellowish coloured substance (i'm thinking bile)

Anyway, I was wondering what it might be and what I could do, tea/water seems to be making it worse. And I'm a medium set person so that amount of alcohol probably wouldnt have an affect on me other than the fact that I don't usually drink.

I have a really bad cold and cough, I can't sleep because every time I lie down, I feel like I cannot breathe, I sleep for about an hour and wake up feeling like I'm choking on my own throat, is there any way I can get some sleep for longer than this, medicines only work when I'm awake, I'm worn out and on the verge of tears, all ideas welcome.

It's partly psychosomatic--I anticipate it so it makes me all the more nauseous. I'm not pregnant, I've been having this for years. Not galbladder problem. No pain. It's like anxiety attacks. Sweet food esp. makes me nauseous.

My grandmother is in a nursing home in Richmond, Va. I took a visit to her on Christmas day and was informed that if she was to have a bowl movement that they down provide diapers for the folks to wear they have a pad underneath them for bowl movement purposes and a nurse is to check in very frequently to make sure no bowl movements or accidents have taken place and if they have to get her cleaned up and a fresh pad put down. But in the two hours I was there with her she complained of pain because she was holding her bowl movement and was afraid to release it. She would not tell me why she was so afraid. On top of this in the two hours I was there only one nurse stepped in (<--keyword) but only to drop off food for the other older lady in the same room. This HAS to be very very wrong and unlawful!! Am I correct or are they aloud to run things this way? It seems to me if she sits in her bowl for that amount of time it is going to cause bad infection. Am I right? Thank you in advance.

i recently (last night) used veet hair removal gel to remove hair from my legs. around my right knee cap, it burned, blistered, and bruised my skin. It also made it bleed and created open sores in that area. It is still inflamed and red. It slightly bubbled up, last night. My mother is a nurse and said to treat it we should rinse it thoroughly with cool water. We did that. Is there anything else we can do or anything that will help soothe it. Also, will it scar my leg?

Scenario: I have developed this problem; Whenever I lie down sideways (Either resting prone, back or on my sides) I start to ensure strange effects.

1: My breathing rate changes
2: I begin to have heart palpitations
3: My heartbeat becomes mildly faster
4: I have an uncomfortable feeling in my upper chest area

I made an appointment to go to the doctor's office and upon evaluation he claimed that there were no visable problems; blood pressure was fine and heart rate was perfect - No flaws or abnormal beats.

However "no visable problems" does not explain what the problem is, and felt that it was in my best interests not to know, however this problem can prevent me from going to sleep for 30-60 minutes, sometimes forcing me to wake up suddenly, taking in a deep breath, or causing me to stir constantly in an attempt to get into a more comfortable position. I am aware of a way to suppress the effects (Though for decency, I shall not post it here).

What is the problem?
