I got anesthesia injected into my right arm under and along the outside of my forearm. That was two weeks ago. Ever since, my vein turned hard and has been extremely sore. It hurts to move it. Is there anything I can do to help heal it faster?

About two weeks ago, I had a thoracic-lumbar spinal fusion after suffering a burst fracture in my L3. The doctors gave me Tylenol 3 for the pain. For two days in the hospital, they gave me painkillers and narcotics for the pain, then I took an average of about six pills of Tylenol at day for four days. Eventually, I had to ease off because they were making me nauseous so I started taking only two, then one, then a half, then I stopped. Everyday since then (almost a week), I've been getting these bad headaches after I sit/stand/lie down too long and after I eat. Is this codeine withdrawal? How long does it last? Anything I can do, other than take another kind of painkiller? My doctor said that headaches sometimes occur after spinal surgery because of leaking spinal fluid, but there was no fluid around my incision. That's a lot of info, but if anyone can help, it'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I'm a 21 yr old dude, been living the highschool dropout / loner / dude won't get out of his parents basement dream for 4 years now. Obviously not impressive, but currently, it is what it is. Anyways, for these past 4 years I've been getting 12-14 hours of sleep everyday. Partying hard until 4 am, waking up between 4pm - 6pm. I'm physically fit, not depressed, maybe unmotivated? These un-needed hours of sleep are starting to interfere with my mental state (ive been feeling extremely mentally unstable) Talking to myself , animals, fighting air. Sad - Yes i agree. I guess my question is have I done too much damage or is it possible to save me? I've gotten so accustom to this lifestyle, it's hard to wake up. OH and I smoke a pack a day, this can't be good. any replys and i'll love ya forevaaaaaaa. Help me! Aquarius all the way

okay, well i've had ingrown (and infected) toenails of and on for as long as i can remember (im 14). ive had the surgery done before, just not by a podiatrist and it turned out very awful and painful. i felt the whole operation EVEN after he gave me 8 shots on each SIDE of each toe. i was scared to death!

so now, my parents have decided that i need to get it done again.... this time permanetly. im stil terrified, and i dont want to feel the needles go through my toe. its painful and i had nightmares for MONTHS afterwards and i couldnt walk on it for almost 8 weeks (which is VERY unusual). thats how bad of a job that doctor did. im not joking.

to anyone out there that has had this proceure done before, did u feel the nedles go through your toe? did it hurt? do you have any advice for me? please help! many many many thanks in advance.

This morning I left my glasses inside their case in my car with no scratches on them, didn't put them on or open the case until tonight and noticed they had really bad scratches on them, some looking like cracks. I live in Miami, Fl and the temp. inside a car can possibly get over 100 degrees, I would like to know if there is any way that the heat inside the car could have caused the glass to crack. The glasses also have an anti-reflective film over the lens that I added as an extra option when purchasing them, I don't know if that might have had something to do with it. Any information you may have is appreciated, Thanks.

I fell from about two feet up a few days ago, but at the time I didn't think I was hurt. A few hours later, my ankle started bothering me, so I got some ice... it ached all the next day (yesterday), so I got a compression wrap for it, and also kept it wrapped today. The aching went down a little, so I took off the wrap for an hour or so after work, but now the pain in my ankle seems to be worse. It doesn't ache anymore, but when I walk, I feel a stab of pain slightly in front of the area below my anklebone. I've wrapped it again, but is this normal? Should I be worried? (There's no swelling or bruising.)
