Keep warm compresses on it when you can. It will have to go away on it's own but this is a common occurrence. The compresses will help. The vein is irritated and inflamed, therefore it is sore and hard to the touch. Warmth helps that to dissipate.

I would see a doctor. Any sort of side effect from anesthesia should be reported, even if it is 2 weeks later. Don't ever mess with painful, swollen or hard veins. If it is a clot, you will want to make sure it is ok so see a doctor as soon as you can.

Yikes! I've had that happen, and it DOES hurt! My doctor suggested a warm compress (moist heat) and gentle exercise and massage. The vein has gone into a spasm, and these things (along with TIME) will fix you right up! I would call the doctor if it lasts longer than a week, though.
Best wishes!

After 10 years of struggling with all sorts of creams and pills to treat this embarrassing problem I was able to get rid of my varicose veins by using natural healing methods and alternative herbal home remedies.
Read Diane Thompson's "Varicose Veins Secrets" (also available in electronic format at: http://www.varicoseveinscure.org ). By following this guide book I was able to eradicate my varicose veins pretty fast. God bless!

I do not have a complete history of the evolution of the lesion nor have I seen it but it sounds like you have an infection. You should see a physician about this. Do not take any antibiotic or other medications without consulting your physician first. Pain medications should help with the pain in the meantime while waiting for your consultation with a physician.

quit smoking if you are, ask those you live with to smoke elsewhere.
Get yourself a doctor.
Report this to the people who injected you.
Report it to the doctor or supervisor.
All in writing!
And if they messed your arm up, they'd better fix it for free, or sue them

Take some aspirin. My boyfriend is a diabetic and the same thing happens to him. It may be a blood clot, so start taking one aspirin a day.
