Why does McDonalds coffee say: Caution, contents are hot? Because people are stupid.

Well it's pretty obvious, but I guess it means something along the lines of "Hey, watch out buddy! I'll make you sleepy fast so stay off the road and be prepared!" Also, maybe the effects of the sleeping pill is different for everyone. So it may cause some people to be slightly drowsy, for others they may konk out right away.
If my guesses aren't right...then the labels are extreamly obvious and purposless. Or maybe I'm wrong.

In this country there are a lot of incredibly stupid lawsuits over things like coffee being hot and people injuring themselves breaking into houses will sue the people that lived in the house. Due to the sue happy nature of the country the manufacturers probably feel that adding all possible side effects in the warning label will shield them against being sued.

Because it may cause drowsiness even AFTER the period of sleep, and that is something they have to warn you about.

Probably because some no sense person filed a claim because they didn't know it would make the drowsy, only fall asleep, and something happened like a car accident or something.

For the same reason the warning labels on children's cold medicines state, "Do not drive or operate machinery."
It's a generic warning label that they put on everything.

By law, a side effect like that from any medication has to have that warning. Some people don't always think before taking something like that and driving.

They probably are talking about when you wake up. The entire affect of the pill may not wear off right when you wake up. I'm not at all sure if that's right, but it's my guess.
