it's normal for body temp to fluctuate some. i wouldn't worry too bad since it's not over 100, but keep an eye on it. if it keeps going up you might want to check with your doctor.

Fever After Acl Surgery

It probably is not infected. A low grade temperature is fairly normal after any surgery because your body is healing. Look at your incision and note any signs/symptoms of infections such as redness, yellow/green discharge/pus, streaking of red up you leg, increase in temperature and/or pain. Please note that it is also fairly normal to have minimal redness and increased temperature at your knee...you just had surgery...it is a sign of healing...but a lot of heat/temperature could indicate an infection....

If in doubt always contact your physician/surgeon.

Your temp fluctuates throughout the day. A 99.6 temp is nothing to worry about...that's what my doc says

Your temp is usually higher at night. Up to 100.5 is usually okay. If it's still elevated in the morning but hasn't spiked during the night, wait and call the nurse at your surgeon's office when it opens.

your body is probably reacting to the surgery. If you hit 100 degrees, call a doctor or go to the ER right away.
