place an ice pack on the back of your mother's neck for fifteen minutes, several times throughout the night and day. This should help with the dizziness.

I recommend you have your mother see a chiropractor as many times vertigo can be coming from a neck problem. I've enclosed a link were you can find a qualified chiropractor in your area.

It cuold be something serious, drive her to the hospital just to have her checked out. better safe then sorry, if you are not old enough to drive, call an ambulance! You wouldnt want anything bad to happen to her. It could be the beginning signs of something major, stroke, blockage, anneurism..good luck

tell her to lay down. turn on the AC if it's hot. elevate her head. drink water, if unavailable, some kind of all natural fruit juice, and in your worst case scenario, gatorade. consult your family physician who will probably ask questions like "is she hurting anywhere, does she have trouble breathing, etc?" and your doctor will consult you on your next actions. if doctor is unavailable, i wouldn't wait too long to take her to ER.
