I have a 5 year old daughter. She is having severe burning and itching in her hands. Her triggers are the sun and hot weather. She doesn't have a rash or blisters. If she continues outside the pain will begin in her legs and feet. We are seeing a pediatric neurologist, and she has been tested for so many diseases. Everything is coming back normal or negative. We just had another Dr. appointment and more blood work. We are now looking for "rare diseases". I desperately need help. If you have ever heard of this, please let me know. This is our 3rd year of avoiding the sun, and the heat. We are just in need of a little direction.
Thank you

I have a friends who thinks that her son accidentally got a hold of a 9 volt battery and touched his eye with it. She found him crying coming out of a room where she found the battery. He was holding his eye. She said that she rinsed his eye but he still cried for awhile afterward. I'm just wondering if it could have caused permanent damage. Anyone experienced such an injury?

I had a Lymphoscintigraphy done today.
And I read somewhere that you can have a pain in your knee. Like, behind your knee cap.
And I had it done 12 hours ago, And I still have pain in my knee.
Is that bad?

Hello,

I have a few questions about Vitamin D.

In 'normal' words(non-geeky) what does Vitamin D does to my body?
... I Heard sunlight gives you Vitamin D.. so, is there any way to get a very good amount of Vitamin D without having to tan, like not even a little of tan..

I really hate tanning!

After brain surgery for trigimenial neuraglia my husband started to have excruiating headaches. (7-10 on pain scale) that started right in the center line of his head and around the back of his head. Right when the headaches started is when he found out that he had gotten viral meningitis. He has seen every type of doctor (neuorlogists specializing in headaches, pain management doctors, and accupunturists) with no relief.
Taken lots of different medicines with no help what so ever. It has been almost two years since he has had these headaches. Any ideas?

I tried eating things w/ sugar, salt, carbs...it worked for 10 minutes. Then back to the same thing. So now what?? Earlier I had trouble breathing for a few minutes and started sweating but that went away in 5 min.

What could be wrong w/ me? Does not seem like an emergency and it will be a HUGE bill to go to an emergency room. But I am alone and do not want to faint. I don't think I would, though; I never had.

Vision blurred just now and went normal again. ??? I don't get it.

My right leg in disallignment of my right leg in my hip from birth. It hold's itself at a 45 degree angle, making my foot point to the right. After some years, it's put pressure on my left knee to bend to the left to the point that I must now live with alot of pain in the left leg. Pressure in the left knee, broken feeling in the foreleg down to middle of bone and swelling feeling in the ankle and jabbing pain. Let me tell you, its hurts but nothing to be seen on x-rays, all looks very healthy. I was told it was ciotic nerve trouble. When it rains, it's worse. Was put on gabapentin and seems to have no effect. Can anyone help I'm just 34 and feel like I'm 106.

I've been on subscription morphine & vicodin for
about 6 years (30mg morphine & 7.5mg vicodin).
6 morphine & 4 vicodin per day. I had serious pain
after a spinal fusion operation w/bone graft at VA
hospital. During the process, I had a nerve compressed as in a vice between a side plate &
a vertabrea, the pain was horrible & no way could I
go without takeing pain meds. I've tried to stop on
my own, but can't get past the withdrawls to find out
if I still have that much pain going on. The VA in
Reno doesn't have a rehab program & the one in
L.A. isn't set up for my type of problem. VA is all I
have, so I'm kind of hung-up.
