The brand name Percocet are the following colors:

5 mgs- Blue
7.5 mgs- Peach
10 mgs- Yellow

If you're taking the Endo Pharmaceuticals generics, then the yellow ones are indeed 10 mgs.

Medications come in the same colors pretty often. Percocets come in the 3 strengths I listed above, not just 5 mgs.

A generic drug can only be approved by the FDA to be put out on the market if it meets all the same guidelines as the name brand. The active ingredients are exactly the same only the inactive ingredients are different-including dyes and the things they use to hold the tablets together. There should be no difference in the way they relieve your pain. And for the person who answered that percocet only comes in 5mg they are wrong it comes in several different strengths including 7.5/325, 7.5/500, 10/500. Hope this was useful to you.

I've been taking percocet for a few years now, I've had round one's oval ones.. name brand and generic... never yellow. Norco are yellow... they are made of hydrocodone.... (vicodin) Percocet is oxycodone. Some people respond better to vicodin, and some to percocet.

You may be talking about oxycontin.... they can be small yellow pills.. and yes, you would think they work better than regular oxycodone because they are extended release... but if you had a prescription, you would know the difference.

Percocets (oxycodone) are generally 5 mg. tablets. I agree with Victoria...sounds like you're taking Norco (hydrocodone)...little yellow oblong tablets. Take whatever works best for you. I personally prefer the Norco to others myself, due to the smaller content, 325 mg of acetominophin (tylenol).

As a synesthesic, colors for me do have a very personal and personified representation. Red doesn't necessarily represent anger, but an intense and pressured person. Similar to the idea of a person holding their breathe, they can only do it for so long. A dark blue would mean obnoxious, sarcastic, rude. White would be a pushover, a very insecure individual. ect. As for the general idea of colors, each does imply a mood or vibe. Green may imply clam, neutral. Black may imply cynical and deep. Fuchsia could imply hyper and energetic. Purple could be similar to green, but it depends on the shade of course. Blue, depending on the shade, could generally mean distant or cold, if you will.
