"You should avoid prolonged or excessive exposure to direct/artificial sunlight while taking this medicine". What will happen to me if I do? I will be exposed and I can't wear a lot of sunscreens. Even if I wear long cloths I will have areas exposed.

I don't know why. To me a Doctor is a Doctor, not male or female.
Being a 51 year old guy, I have no problem with a female doctor.

Do younger people have a problem ? I know a few of my older friends 80's + Just don't trust female doctors. They just want white old men doctors.

My back has been hurting for over 5 months. It is in the middle to lower spine area. It feels like if I could crack my back, the pressure would be relieved, but it isn't the problem. It feels compressed, and standing is the only relief I get other than laying flat on my back.
Muscle relaxers don't work.

Arching my back backward provides little relief, but I can't stay that way forever.

The pain can be better or worse, and at its worst, I find myself holding my breath. (such as while pulling weeds or bending over for long periods)

This morning when I was sleeping I went to turn or lay a different way and I felt this horrible pain in my neck like I tore something. I layed my head down and fell asleep for a little while longer and then when I went to get up out of the bed I was hit with this excruciating pain on the left side of my neck. I tried getting up but it seemed impossible and then finally after about 30 minutes of pressing my hand tightly against the spot that hurt and slowly moving my body I was able to get up. The pain is less intense when I'm standing but I cannot lay down or sit without feeling this pain. I also can't move my neck forward too far, backwards too far or to the left too far without feeling this excruciating pain. What can I do to ease this pain please throw me some suggestions this is horrible.

Hmmm. I don't get it. Aren't they at all invested in their own health?? Is it common for healthcare professionals that promote well-being to have bad unhealthy habits??? I'm going to be a nurse and when I went through some hard times I turned to smoking for about a year. But I realize how hypocritical and ridiculous that sounds to be learning about health and not to mention seeing the effects of things such as smoking everyday, and then still doing that. Bizarro!

Last night the left side of my stomach hurt when I was sitting up, and went all the way through to my back, and when I was laying down I felt nauseous, but the pain would go away in my stomach after a while. If it is an ulcer, what can I do to make it go away on my own, or do I need to go see a doctor-I don't really want to though, because I feel like I waste their time. If you have any ideas please help me! I'm afraid of vomitting, and I don't want it to get to that point.

Another question from me.. okay I have like long lines of medical illness, I had asthma it disapeared, I have tourettes syndrome and a possible mild form of cerebal palsy and just when everything seems medicated and under control I'm getting these sharp pains on the right side of my chest. My hearts obviously on the left side of my chest, and I don't want to make a big deal out of nothing - I mean I practically live at the doctors so I don't want to mention it if it's not important. Two weeks ago I switched my medicine up to a higher dose, I have to see what its called, but it lowers my blood pressure and keeps down my ticks from my tourettes. Anayway the pains are right under my breasts, about near my ribs, on the left side of my body. Their like when your heart hits really hard but almost worse like getting quickly stabbed then healed. I had two yesterday and one today and each time I yelped or something when it happened.Today I had a dizzy spell but that's probably from my medicine

A few days ago a small blister formed on the inside of my pinky. I don't know where it came from but it really hurt because it was right where my pinky bends. I used a clean needle to let pop the blister and then put a bandaid on it so the skin would not tear. I filled up again and I did the same thing. But this time it filled up with pus. Could this be some kind of bug bite or what is going on?

I am wondering if anyone who has suffered thru severe gallstones attacks can tell me if after it finally subsided (the worst pain part) did the following day you still have pain in the back and chest/abdomen but more of a dull achy type where you could till function as opposed to the severe pain where basically it keeps you from doing anything at all. thank you for your help i am not familiar with everything relted to the attaks yet.oh also i have read where you can take tylenol for the pain but no way would that even touch the pain i had-does anyone know what is prescribed for the pain by drs if anything?

It doesnt feel like an ear ache, when this first started happening I was told it was because I slept on my ear wrong, well I cant even lay on my ear now and it still hurts when I put any kind of pressure on my ear. I dont think its ear wax build up cause when I clean my ear there is nothing in there. This is getting frusterating especially cause its my right ear and thats the side I sleep on but I cant cause it hurts! Please help!

I was in a car accident last week, where we had a driver come across us at 90 degrees to our car and when we collided, my right knee hit the dash. It didn't hurt at first, and later that night the swelling and bruising showed up and I was in considerable pain.

After a week, the bruising and swelling has gone down, but now I have a slight discoloration underneath the bruised area, and I have a bit of bruising just above the base of my foot, again below where the bruised area is.

Is this normal?

I love smoking. Not cigarettes, but cigars and weed, and shisha. I'm wondering if there's anything out there that you can smoke that's not too harmful for your body. I know that inhaling burnt plants increases the amount of carcinocens in your body or something.. but if anyone has any further knowledge on this, I'd be happy to hear it.

My hubby just came home from the hopital after having spinal fusion and x stops put in between his vertabrae. His morphine pump went in the middle of the night. I had to pick up a bunch of scripts. He has Lyrica ( a pain med for nerves) oxycontin and lortabs. The label says how many times a day to take them. I was thinking the oxycontin in the morning, the lortabs in between and an oxy at bedtime. The lyrica at noon and 6. He also has baby asprin and tylenol 500 to take. I need to space this out , or he will be a drooling idiot. The rest , antibiotics and celebrex i am not to worried about. Any suggestions?

It will sound weird but it is actually "Halo 2 multiplayer", i just seem to not control myself sometimes to just say no to play it with my friends when i have more important things to do.

My plan is (besides to ask God), to control my emotions these times and not have a dependance of it.

I'm 32 - & @ 25 diagnosed with Endometriosis and 6 months ago diagnosed by several doctors with Fibromyalgia. 2 conditions that there is nothing I can do except deal with it, The Endo has no cure except the obvious is a hysterectomy and that's not even 100% that it will go away, and I'm to young to do that , Dr.'s say I have to wait till I'm 35 because I have no children. and the Fibromyalgia, another condition that has no cure, well because they don't know what causes the pain. So, because of this I'm in in a constant state of pain. I deal with it 90% of the time by just telling myself there is nothing I can do about it and move on, but there are days, MAN I hurt so bad I can hardly move, so I don't and become completely non productive, and the obvious depressed. My Dr put me on an anti-depressant it works for the most part with the depression but the pain is dulled but never gone. I have tried exercise doesn't help. So was wondering if anyone out there is dealing w/ this
