I teach teach skiing at a local hill and last weekend I sprained my wrist. I have to wear a brace for the next few weeks. My boss asked me today if I still wanted to teach this weekend. I'm completely between a rock and a hard place. Do I go against what the doctor said and teach this weekend (he told me that I can't ski/teach for 10 days) or do I follow the doctors orders and do "light duty" this week?

ankles, feet, shins, and calves. I can usually walk it off, but lately they have become very painful & I usually just cry! It almost feels like the bones are twisting everyway but the right way. I drink plenty of water & started eating a banana everyday (someone suggested that...). Any clues to what this could be? Fatigued muscles?

I started working out after taking this fall and winter off. Now I have pain in my back below my right shoulder blade and near my backbone. It doesn't really hurt when I am working out, but it hurts later on when I am doing nothing or when I lift a light object. Also, when I do situps, when I am lowering myself to the floor, it feels like my back is not coming down straight, but kind of to one side. Is this a misalignment problem or something else. When I quit exercising for a week or two, it seems to go away.

I had pain in my lower right abdomen in january for 7 days. I went to the ER because I don't have medical insurance and someone told me they are good at working payment arrangments. I just got a bill for over 5 thousand dollars in the mail. I called and they said they would send me the paper work via mail to apply for payment arrangments, but I couldn't set it up over the phone. My question is, how good are hospitals (mine is in California) at working with people who don't have medical insurance and have a limited income? I am a full time graduate student so this may be difficult to pay back..

But not my left side. The sensation is getting more intense and starting to move to my head and other side of the body. I live in Mexico, and do not have medical insurance to cover a visit to the doctor. Any idea what it is and what I can do about it?

This is my first winter here. I am plagued with unbelievable dry skin. Also, sinuses are very dry. I have baseboard, radiator heat. Will one of those humidifiers really help me out. I am sure they only cover so many square feet & you probably have to own several of them. For the amount of money I spend on body lotion now, I probably should invest in one of these. Will they really help? Anybody use them?

I saw that commercial for "Slomming". To Slom is to put leaches on your body. S.L.O.M. stands for Sticking Leaches On Myself. The commercial was addvertising "Living above the influence". Is this practice a real thing that teenagers really do?

The finger is really swollen and I don't want to cut the ring. Windex hasn't helped, and neither has the dental floss "trick". Of course, just trying to force it hasn't helped at all either. Should we just go to get it cut off? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please and thank you.

Ugh, cramps, nothing worse to have on a day where you can't go out on the icy road to your local CVS to get some Advil.

Any suggestions on how to at least dull the pain?

Okay well I popped my knee out back in september, and popped it back in real quick with out relizing it till it all happened. Then I could bearly walk on it, but still did. A couple months later when I finally got back in to excersizing, I kept getting sharp pains in my knee and everytime I straightened it, I could like make the craking of the fingers noise. About two weeks ago, I was sitting on the floor and I went to get up, but popped my knee out of place once more and It was bent and burning with pain, so i straighted it and popped it. And after more excersizing the pain still comes.

now i'm really worried because everytime I bend that knee i feel like im going to pop it out of place again, so pretty much im afraid to sit with my knee bent. What should I do?

[yeah sorry but I had to know, my mom could care less]

I sometimes get *horrible* migrains (pass out from pain, severe vomiting, etc) and have narrowed it down to that peanut products mostly trigger them, but sometimes I get them anyway. Any advice on over-the-counter medicines or home remidies? I've heard some odd remidies and wondered what you all think?
