Does it work? Does it last? Is it painful? How long is the needle?

This story is set in the early Victorian era.
Jane causes her sister, Anne, to have an accident during their horse ride. Anne, from her head injury, becomes blind (Or should I make her crippled?) And so Jane feels guilty and so spends the rest of her life feeling guilty and trying to make up for that guilt by always helping out her sister. Of course, this isn't the entire plot, but just the overview of it in order to ask whether Anne should get blind or crippled. The problem with making her a crippled person is that I don't know how one is to tend to crippled people. I tried to research about it, but the information is difficult to find

When the knee cap came out of place, it stretched tissue on the side of the knee cap. I did a month of physical therapy. A few months after physical therapy, I began having problems with my knee so I went back to therapy & this time put a little more effort into it & stopped compensating for the injured knee. The knee was getting better & then it reached a certain point where it just stopped & I now have this uncomfortable clicking/grinding kind of sound in my knee.

My 1st doctor was against surgery & I felt like I would never go back to my old self so I went for a 2nd opinion from another doctor. He ordered more MRIs & said everything looked fine but I don't feel fine. So he suggested a surgery where he would see if there is any cracked cartilage(MRIs don't show cartilage) and he would smooth it out and that would stop the clicking sound. Every story I hear about knee injuries & surgeries it's as if you never FULLY recover from it and I'm 18 years old. I want my old knee back.

I hit my left temple with a door on accident, roughly 2, 2 1/2 months ago. I had a large bump there, it's only a bit smaller now but it wont go away. I've had loss of appetite, awkward sleepiness, random headaches (not as in nerves but just random shots of pain), and cringing .. if you know what that is, like my ears cringe and so on so forth.

I am going to get a checkup tommorow but my doctor never believes me. I just hope she'll take me seriously. What do you think it is?

This is my first time in college away from home. This is the first time that i actually had to share a room with someone else. When we first moved in, she seemed like a really nice person, but after a few weeks i noticed that she doesnt shower daily. Not only does she not bath, she has braids in her hair and she hasnt washed her hair since we been here either. The reason i know that she is not showering daily is because we share a bath room. When she does bath, it is only like once a week. I cant take the smell. Everytime i come back in the room, thats all i smell. I dont know about anyone else, but I hate smelling other people. Whenever she leaves the room, i spray her bed with lysol to try and get rid of the smell, but it doesnt work. I also buy air freshener and put around the room, but that doesnt work either.

A couple of years ago I had a very bad case of shingles all across my shoulder and neck, fortunately it healed without scarring however I have never regained the feeling in that area.I know shingles attack the nerves so I assume they must have been damaged. Is there any treatment for this or is it just something i'll have to accept?

I have been having neck pain for at least on and off for about 7 months. Until recently, I just contributed it to stress and working on the computer a lot. The past 2 weeks it has gotten tremendously worse. Tingling down my right arm...and pain in my neck and headaches. My doctor ordered a c-spine, and of course it came back with Osteoarthritis with some nerve compression. I'm slightly baffled by this diagnosis as I'm only 45 yrs old. My doctor now wants an MRI...(which I went today for) to see exactly what is going on with the nerves and soft tissue.
I'm primarily concerned because of my age...possible misdiagnosis. Although, I will know more in a couple of days based on my MRI findings. Has anyone ever been through this before? I really do not want surgery. I'm hoping that its something that can be managed with physical therapy...and whatever else is non-invasive. Thanks for the help...

Last week I was sick for a few days. I missed two days of school. I made up a history test on Monday. I also had a speech that was due Monday for English. There's the bad part. I still have not written my speech yet. I've been getting enough sleep, but I was so tired yesterday that I went to bed & slept the night through. I had the same problem today. I slept ten hours yesterday, but I found myself feelin exhausted at seven PM. Here I am at 11 PM workin on my speech. I have not idea how long it is going to take me. I think at least 1.5 hours minimum. How do I get through my assignment without falling asleep? I'm just tired & I don't know what to do?

P.S. I was lucky enough to not be called on earlier to present my speech. Even if I finished it, I'm just afraid about performing well the next day at school and having enough energy to get through with my studies. I mean even with 10 hours of sleep, I was exhausted around seven PM on both Monday & Tuesday.

Any advice?

I got a fractured left leg bone(the leg I use to jump) a week ago, I had a cast and stayed at home since then. I need to stay with the cast for about 6 weeks.
I m really concerned about whether I can get back to the game of bball or soccer, and play as what I used to play. How long does it take to recover from it.

all answers are appreciated !
