It was unhinged and leaning on a door he was laying sideways.I gave him 2 motrins and we a cold compress he wants to sleep but i told him he shouldnt because he could have a concussion what should we do?

you never give anyone pain medication when they have a suspected head injury,check his pupils ans see if there both the same size if not take him in to the hospital.

make sure that where he was hit, that the "bump" goes OUT, making a bump to the outside, and not inside. Also, see if one pupil is dilated, and the other pinpoint....if so, then he has a concussion. Do NOT let him go to sleep .......it does sound like he should see a doctor or have a visit to the Emergency Room to make sure that no serious damage was done.....

be careful!!! It might be best to just see a doctor. Concussions are serious and can be fatal

Otherwise, just keep an eye on him every now and then, if he becomes slurry to simple things, or he has serious swelling, emergency room time!

keep him awake for awhile and keep doing like your are,,,i would get him checked at the doctors office tomorrow to make sure his head didn;t get a concussion,,,good luck to you both and hope brother is feeling better,

You might want to take him to the doctor. Also, tell him to blink. If one pupal is bigger than the other, then it could be a concussion.
