Well that repetitive stress thing (carpal tunnel, tennis elbow, shoulder cuff issues) can be prevented our counteracted 2 ways: stretching the wrist/fingers every half hour or so, to encourage full circulation, work out stiffness, and improve circulation; or building strength and coordination of the supporting muscles.

Your shoulder isn't really a joint; all the muscles and tendons keep your arm "in place" so those muscles need to be kept healthy and operative. As we age, we lose range of motion in all the joints, and you can counteract this with proper strengthening and stretching exercises.

I like yoga: Foundation Poses for Strength & Stamina, Bending & Twisting Poses for Flexibility, Balancing Poses for Focus & Energy.

Posture is SO key in the prevention of overuse problems. Make sure you are in a good alignment for any kind of repetitive task, such as keyboarding.

A Physical or Occupational Therapist can give you tips on how to safegueard yourself at work.

Good luck!
