General Health Care - February 2007

Here's the story. A couple of hours ago, I had been belching and gassing it up (yes I know it sounds gross, just deal with it please) and its like this really gross feeling/ taste and I just can't stop it! I've taken 2 rolaids and that hasn't worked and its just making me feel gross and stuff so if a doctor or someone could help me that would be great! So please tell me, does it sound like I have indigestion? If so what are some good home remedies I could try? If it isn't indigestion, what is it and what can I do to feel better?

Ok, I know for a fact that this is not normal. I am young, so I should be able to sleep easily, right? Wrong. Not in my case. Every single night this week, I have not been able to fall asleep. I end up finally crashing at like 5+AM every night! I just cant sleep! As you know, when your tired, your eyes hurt and you cant keep them open? Yea, well I dont have that feeling anymore. Ive stayed up for 3 days straight and I am not the slightest bit tired. What do I do?

My mom has had a constant pain in the bottom right side of her back ever since she had a field service job (where she drove a lot) about 20 years ago. Driving and sitting for long periods of time make it worse. Has anyone had this or know what it could be?

immobilizer for 2 wks.I go to a specialist Monday,I had to wait because this Dr. was on vacation.Will I most likely need pysical therapy? How long is the recovery?I'm 54 will I have problems from now on?Are my sports days over?Thanks

This only began a couple of weeks ago and has only happened about 4-5 times lasting about 15 minutes. I thought maybe it was gas because i have been gassy lately too, but it is always in the same exact spot. Should I be investigating a possible problem?

I Sprained my ankle 7 years ago and I carefully noticed that each time I have sex say 3 times in a row it causes my ankle to swell up and become painful. The doctors can figure out what is wrong. Personally I think something my ankle needs is being replenished during ejaculation. Anybody recognizes this condition?

i am 27 yr old female and almost for a year now i have pain in my left chest and my whole left arm ..it hurts so bad everyday and doctors dont seem to be too worried but i am..and now i am gettin restless legs which is very aggravateing and sometimes a pain at the top of my foot...any advice???thxs

I went to Disney World today, and I was on my feet for over 11 hours walking around the parks. I guess my shoes weren't the best to be doing this in. I have quite a few large blisters on each foot. None of them have popped yet; that's good right?
I was just wondering if anyone had any quick relief techniques. I've got to be on my feet for over 6 hours tomorrow for work, and can't go in the pain they're causing right now...

i know this might seem minor but i work fulltime and am on my feet all day. lately ive been noticing i have severe cold sort of shooting pains in my back..they dont hurt that bad but feel weird right up in my shoulders and my lower backs been hurting really bad does anyone know if this is a condition? i havent been wearing the bst shoes but it just hurst all the time lately can anyone help? its like hot and coold pains

I have a scar that i've had for a couple months, maybe 3.. just right now i noticed a pain in it, kind of a numbing pain, and it hurts when i touch it.. Its on my shoulder, and its never happened before. Also its a burn mark, where a friend of mine thought it was just hilarious to drop a match on my shoulder, yeah, i know, i know, he's an idiot, blah. THe problem is i have other burn marks from cooking accidents, and some ive had longer that this scar, and the other ones havent done this? Its imflammed and slightly swelled. and huuurts. My dad is 62 years old and is having a hard time recovering from a spinal fusion. He quit smoking cold turkey the day he went in for surgery, which could have something to do with it. Today is day 13 and he is just now able to walk a few steps and will most likely be in the hospital a few more weeks. He is complaining of an unbearable pain in the lower right lumbar area of his back. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? An MRI shows that all the hardware and fusion looks perfect. What could be the problem?

This is the first time i've ever been stung. It happened just over 24 hours ago. I was camping at the time so i didn't have vinegar or ice, so my mates squeezed an orange on the sting. It was fine that night. This morning i woke up with a lump, which is now nearly 4fingers long. My breathing and etc is fine. My whole arm is aching, from my neck to my fingers

What do i do? Was putting orange on it a good idea???

in the begining it hurt on my stomache area and now its on my back. im guessing its my kidney. Should i go to the ER? Its not too much pain, i can still walk and do everything, and the blood isnt that bad either. just a little red.

I have had two identical surgeries to fix my torn miniscus in my knee. It was medial. I went to Physical therapy for the first surgery, and I started to go for my second a few months ago, but it caused more pain, so I didn't go anymore. It ranges from just to the left of my belly button (on the left side of my body) and slightly above and below that. It only hurts in the front and it's a stabbing, twisting, hurts-really-bad kind of pain. It hurts occationally and doesnt seem to have any kind of pattern of when it hurts. HELP. PLEASE.
