You wouldn't be human if you didn't worry, but MANY people endure concussions and only end up with headaches. Take comfort that they were smart enough to have a doctor check him...they will make sure no major damage before they let him go. Hug and kiss your little ones, and remember to tell hubby how much you love him.

1st, I'm sorry to hear about your situation. I hope everything turns out to be OK.

2nd, would it be possible to go with the kids? I'm sure you've thought of that already, but that may be the way to go, unless you have have someone rush over to watch them so you can go.

I know they don't allow cell phone use in most hospitals now, so that may be a reason you've not heard anything. I would imagine if it was VERY bad, you'd have gotten a call by now.

Can you call the hospital and try to get info that way??? Can you send someone (like family) to check if you can't leave home???

If he called you, and talked to you he probably isn't that bad however I would go to the hospital if you are that nervous, do you have anyone that could come and watch the children ?

He is going to the right place, it would be better than toughing it out at home and something serious happens.

He is going to where he can take care, talk to the "Man Above" and everything should be fine.

have had about 20 of them, cracked skull a few times

if it's a minor concussion no big deal, if he was knocked out, be a little concerned, if he cracked his skull he should be left in the hospital over night for observation

any of the above he will have a headache

I'm a nurse. I know this is a difficult time for you, but try not to worry. He is going to a place where he can get the proper care and come home to you. I'm a Christian and I Will pray for your husband tonight.

A concussion is usually pretty serious, but not usually fatal. As long as he gets to the ER, he'll be fine.

Well, it's hard not to worry, but don't, because worrying doesn't change anything. He's being taken care of by the docs, so that's the main thing. Just hang in there; it's going to be okay

Well, at least call the floor nurse, how is he doing. It couldn't be that bad if he was talking to you. Though that's a good excuse to get out of the house and see your mistress
