My surgery was over 6hrs. and I had L4-L3,L3-L2 fused with laminectomies. Since then my neck and shoulder pain(I had previous discomfort) is very bad. I've heard the table used for the surgery can cause these problems. My hands are clumsy and weak also.Surgery was 4mo's. ago.

i was born with it because the doctor pulled me the wrong way when i was being born. i had an operation when i was like five. i have this scar starting from the top of my left sholuder midway down my arm. my arm does not go all the way down like a normal human being is there a way to fix that? i don't care about the scar but my arm is embarassing to me. i distance myself from other teenagers because i want my body to be normal. thank you for answering my question.

It's very random, my mother and brother have it too. Some people call it a burp but it's not a belch, it's more a quick intake of sharp air and then my throat squeezes around it, causing a huge noise. Embaressing...

My dad has severe siatica and has had it for about 8 weeks. Its really painful at times in his left leg. Sometimes he has good days and sometimes bad days. Hes taking co - codamol and the odd diazipan (have I spelt that correctly?!!) when its at its most painful.

I was bowling with a brand new ball, recently drlled to match my fingers. I then rolled 12 games in about an hour and a half. After it was done, my thumb was a bit numb, but I figured it was a blister forming. its now 2 days later, I got numbness on half my thumb (though I can determine pressure, pain is not there) WHen I press against where the thumb meets my hand, it explodes into a tingling sensation, which fades when I stop putting pressure.

Its really really irritating. can anyone help?

My son is 2 1/2 and was rolling around on the floor when he hit his head (specifically his ear) on the very sharp corner of our futon. It immediately began to bruise and swell, and now it looks like he has a huge blood blister on the upper part of his ear. It's almost like a peanut M&M was inserted into his upper ear because it's round and bulging in the front and back of his ear.

Is this how cauliflower ear starts? It's a Saturday so his pediatrician isn't available, otherwise it'd be a no-brainer and I'd have her check it out just to be sure. But our only option is the ER to have them drain it. Is this necessary? If we wait until Monday, will it be too late? Or does cauliflower ear begin somehow entirely different?

on 2/13/07. I landed on my neck/back/butt and hit my head hard. CT scans at er showed all ok. Neurologist called & said he found a small abnormality in the frontal lobe (right side). He referred me to a neurosurgeon. Anyway, as for the soreness of my back etc. i am feeling way better, BUT, the bump on my head is still bigger than the size of a quarter, is super sore, and i'm VERY dizzy on and off all day. Is this normal? When should this bump be completely healed? When i first hit it, it swelled to the size of a golf ball and was "mushy". Now its smaller but HARD!!! Shouldn't it have gone down already?
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!
