Last summer I hurt my leg while running. It was not a major injury; it only hurt when I lefted it up. So I continued to run on it for another two weeks. I haven't been running at all since then.

However, I still get a little bit of pain (it's not really pain but it feels funny) when I left my leg up. I'm afraid to start running again. Is this a permanent injury? It has been a good 7-8 months.

From then he feels a bit of the pain when he moves it and can't put his weight on it...but it is not swallen or anything strange as that, he just feels a bit of a weakness, its not even hurting as it would be expacted, he sais the bigest thing he feels is just weakness.....can somebody tell me what it is and what he can do? (besides going to the doctor, as he can go only at monday)

I am a PhD student and often Profs are rude and condescending to us graduate students. We complain about it to each other and smile in their faces. Since I started taking synthroid I have much more energy, but I find I want to tell these guys what I think.

My daughter 5 years old does not speak fully. Very few understandable words only! Doctor suggested hearing test for her. The hearing test personnel told me that she has fluid behind her ear membrane, so test shall not be reliable. Is it true? Also is there any method to remove this fluid without operation? She does not chew on chewing gum and does not like to inflate balloons (suggested by the hearing test personnel). What should I do?

My whole shin hurts. It feels like the bone has too much pressure on it or something. I run about over 2 miles almost everyday and I'm afraid that I have too much impact on my leg from the treadmill. My friend told me that I might have a shin splint. Whenever I try working out my leg just tightens up and twists to the side. I don't know what to do. Can anyone help??

I had a hard fall off a bike a couple of weeks ago and ended up with a VERY large bruise on my thigh. The bruise has now completely gone but I have a lump under my skin and my leg is still slightly sore. Should I be worried or get it checked out ?

15 year old soccer goalie suffered broken nose and mild concussion. it is now 2 weeks later and she is still suffering from moderate to severe headaches, some fatigue and difficulty concentrating. Pediatrician is recommending complete rest, including staying home from school for an extended period of time. does this sound too conservative?

I am an over the road truck driver who injured my back in Sept og 2006.I fell and recieved a compression fracture in my back.I have had all the regular test they do.I have also seen 2 nuerologists.Their comp doctor said I am temporarilly disabled and mine said my compression fracture has healed and also their doctor said I had 2 herniated discs.I am going to physical therapy and it is causing me to hurt more.My family doctor got tot see my c/t scan which the other didn't and said it by no means look normal.I hurt everyday, with leg pain and buttocks pain along with back pain and numbness.I would like to know if this type of injury makes some people disabled and they can't return to work, which would hurt me deeply.I love what I do and not to be able to travel the way I did would hurt me in a very bad way

after being born without any? Furthermore he knows of another boy who grew back part of his arm and a whole hand after a farm accident. Also I personally know one lady, approx. age 65, who has had RP, a degenerative disease, all her life and at one point was totally blind at around age 20, who the doctors say has no measurable sight, who for many years was reading a book a week, worked from home with her cpu, eventually even threw away her magnifying glass that she had used for years, and even stopped wearing these very thick glasses, and decided that her sight was fine. From then on and till she went back to Europe to live, her ability to see improved, though it could not be measured by the specialists. Now after being in her old environment, it is beginning to deteriorate again and now she tells me that she may start to use a white cane for the first time. By the way the boy who grew the hand back did it on his own after seeing that lizards do it. Both kids live in mexico. Well?

about 1.5 years ago we were driving along a residential street when the passenger window blew out(i was sitting in passenger seat hubby was driving) we aren't sure what happened but think a rock hit the window from a lawn mower accross the street. anyway all the windows were up in the van and when the window broke i felt enormous pressure on the side of my face. after that i have had sharp stabbing pains in my right ear. dr has checked for infection and glass or debris from the window and found none. sometimes it will hit me just out of the blue it is very painfull. it came to my attention today that it may have something to do with the baarmetric pressure. as we have had a major storm come in today and my ear hurts like crazy. i think i may try keeping a diary of when the pain hits and the weather conditions. but do you think that the barametric change is a probabl cause of my irratic stabbing ear pain? thanks michelle

every now & then i sneeze or cough pretty hard & something happens at the top of my rib cage. its a little to my right & the way i describe it is that its a rib being dislocated but then i push around in that area, kindof like massaging, & then it goes back into place. what could this be? its doesnt really hurt but it feels abnormal. im not worried, just curious. & afterward sometimes that area is a little sore for about a day. thanks!

I sat down and hit the tip of my nose with a coke bottle's cap, which is where I had the procedure. The Dr. pretty much filled up the tip area with botox, restylalline, and I'm concerned that the nose might change its shape and form. Will I be okay? It pulses right now. Does anyone know if the botox breaks apart?

so, i was playing 'team handball' in pe which was in the south gym yesterday. i jumped up to try to get a ball that was being thrown to the person behind me. At the same time, he jumped also and brought his arm forward. because he was taller than me, my hand hit his arm really hard and it bend three of my fingers. i heard a crack, but i dunno if that was just my knuckles or something. anyway, the other 2 fingers r fine, but my pinky finger still hurts! it hurts when i close my fist, although i can close it. and also when i write....there wasnt any swelling though. my knuckle looks slightly bruised....i remember hearing something about using medical tape, but is there another way? Thanks in advance!
