I had a hard fall off a bike a couple of weeks ago and ended up with a VERY large bruise on my thigh. The bruise has now completely gone but I have a lump under my skin and my leg is still slightly sore. Should I be worried or get it checked out ?

Yes, see a doc and have it examined- it could be a hematoma always better safe than sorry................good luck to you

Theres no rush to get it checked out. The bump is probably there still because the muscle is still swollen and bruised. Give it another week or two and see if the bump goes down and see if the pain goes away. Then if its still there see your doctor.

Any bruise is a form of a hematoma. Don't stress yourself out about it, I've had many from hockey.

It's likely that the lump you have is a bruise to the deep muscle tissue underneathe the skin.

I would see someone if it the pain persisted and/or became worse.

Please make an appt. with your dr. on this asap. You might, depending on what your dr. says, need a referral to an orthopedist. This is something not to be ignored. Take care.

it wouldn't hurt to have it checked out, just to be sure it's nothing.
