Two days ago my bf got up on a strange way and his knee hurted in that moment. And yesterday in the morning while he was going to the kitchen he fell on a gorund as he lost strenght in that knee. From then he feels a bit of the pain when he moves it and can't put his weight on it...but it is not swallen or anything strange as that, he just feels a bit of a weakness, its not even hurting as it would be expacted, he sais the bigest thing he feels is just weakness.....can somebody tell me what it is and what he can do? (besides going to the doctor, as he can go only at monday)

Thank you in advance!

before 3/4 months he fell from not well fixed bar while working out on both of his knees. I don't know if it can be related to this but also it happend on both knees! Now only one is hurting him. I also read that for dislocated knee, one of the symptoms is getting swallen - which didn't happen in his case. He just fell now due to the lost of strenght in that leg with knee that felt strange from the day when he got up on it a bit differently then normal. Now he is not in big pain at all....just some kind of discomfort and little bit of weakness in the knee....If anybody has any ideas, please write i would appriciate it so much!

muscle weakness is mostly due to lack of potassium in the body.
Let him eat lots of banana fruit everyday.. and then find out of some potassium-rich vitamins and let him take that daily. My bro had it, he was even hospitalised, but then the doctor only advise him to take lots of banana fruit and an injection of potassium. And then still go and see the doctor for that.
Good Luck.

See a massage therapist for your quads

Much pain is from muscles below is an example of what may help (based on headaches).
Begin with a couple swigs of molasses or a couple of bananas daily - magnesium (which regulates many things in the body) and potassium (a needed building block for muscles).
Drink at least 1/2 gallons of water per day. Running a body low on water is like running a car low on oil is the analogy the head of neurology at UCDavis told my husband about 10 years ago.

Now to the cause - muscles - your back, neck shoulders and head have tender spots. They are knots in the fibers of the muscles called trigger points. It makes the muscles tight which makes them press on nerves and other things causing the pain.

The cure - start with a professional massage, you will also want to go back over any place you can get to 6-12 times per session up to 6 times per day rubbing (or lightly scratching on your head) every where that is tender until the knots go away. The place where the skull connects to the spine press up under the edge of the skull (to get to those muscles).

For more information read The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies. It teaches what to do and where the pain comes from.

It is awfully hard to tell what might be going on just from that description, but he certainly needs to see a doctor on Monday. Until then he should stay off of it and use crutches if he absolutely has to get up to avoid more falls. Keep it elevated. If it swells, put ice in a towel and put it on his knee for 20 minutes on, 20 minutes off and use ibuprofen as directed on the label.

Edit: I'm glad he's feeling better! As for what could've caused this, again, it is hard to figure out without seeing it, but as long as he is doing better, and this doesn't happen again, there is nothing to worry about.

Just go to the website listed below and follow the instructions on it and it should answer your question.

If your bf has even more problems with that knee before he goes to see the doctor on Monday, take your bf to the nearest hospital emergency room, tell them about his knee problem, and they will be able to help you.

Hope your bf knee starts feeling better soon.
