I would go to your family physician and ask for a complete physical with blood work. There are many things that could be wrong, but your blood work should reveal just about any abnormality and then go from there. You may be suffering from fibromyalgia and/or restless leg syndrome. There is a great website called WebMD.com. Go to it and look at a few things and see what you think, then discuss it with your physician.

I would talk to a orthopadeic surgeon, they deal with nerve problems due to the spinal cord...or a neurosurgeon who also works with the nerves. As far as the restless legs, talk to your doctor about a prescription called REQUIP. I am pretty sure it is the only one out there. If nothing helps, try to get in to a pain management clinic, i think you need a referral. They pretty much deal with your PAIN not the DIAGNOSIS. i have been going to a pain clinic for a long time. I am 20 and have had excrutiating pain in my left low back hip and leg. the docs cant figure out what is causing it for the life of them, so i just do the PC thing and take a combination of meds that help better than the typical vicodin that the clueless doctor might give you.

See a chiropractor to make sure you are aligned properly, work with a massage therapist to get the muscles to loosen up. As your foot goes they would be the muscles in your calf most likely.
Much pain is from muscles below is an example of what may help (based on headaches).
Begin with a couple swigs of molasses or a couple of bananas daily - magnesium (which regulates many things in the body) and potassium (a needed building block for muscles).
Drink at least 1/2 gallons of water per day. Running a body low on water is like running a car low on oil is the analogy the head of neurology at UCDavis told my husband about 10 years ago.

Now to the cause - muscles - your back, neck shoulders and head have tender spots. They are knots in the fibers of the muscles called trigger points. It makes the muscles tight which makes them press on nerves and other things causing the pain.

The cure - start with a professional massage, you will also want to go back over any place you can get to 6-12 times per session up to 6 times per day rubbing (or lightly scratching on your head) every where that is tender until the knots go away. The place where the skull connects to the spine press up under the edge of the skull (to get to those muscles).

For more information read The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies. It teaches what to do and where the pain comes from.

Doctors? Keep looking until one takes interest.
But i think your going to be alright. I mean its been a year now and your still here. Don't think and worry about it everyday. Maybe it will go away.
Take care & good luck.
