Bite him back!

Do you know for sure that is was a spider bite? I work in a E.R. and we see allot of people that think its a bite but turns out its not from a spider at all its a staph infection. If it is hard and draining its likely a boil.
You have to be really careful about infection.
There is a staph infection called MRSA (methicillian resistant staph aurious) no matter what you do unless treated it will come back, on other parts of your body as well.
This type of staph is very contagious if people are using the same towel as you, sleep with you, you can spread it.
This staph colonizes in your nose, so you need to kill it there with a special ointment or you will never get rid of it. You would also need two antibiotics.
So it may look like its going away or getting better, but it will show up somewhere else (in places you don't want them)
Trust me in this, I see it everyday. People think they have a spider bite but it is really MRSA.
Your boil needs to be cultured to see what kind of staph it is!
Good Luck!

Most go away on their own after a day or so, wipe clean with a bit of Bactine on fresh tissue paper, and then apply a thin layer of a good antibacterial ointment or Benadryl lotion to relief pain, swelling and any itching or redness. Time is your best bet. However, if the pain, swelling, etc. greatly increases or remains just as bad or even slightly worse after a couple days, go see your doctor, as you may have had an allergic reaction to the bite.

I'd want to know what sort of spider it was first. If you don't know go and get medical treatment. If you have killed it take it with you.
