1 of 6 layers of my cornea has been damage. And when im in a dry season like Winter or very hot summer, my eyes starts to get painful. Sometimes when I look at bright objects, eg(sun, monitors, tv's) it hurts a lot. Or when I wake up in the morning. is there any way to fix this problem? is there a surgery for this? and what does it call for the surgery?

I would like to wear some kind of device on my back to help it remain straight while I work on my computer (sometimes many hours in a row). Although I try consciously to keep the back straight, shoulders up, chin up, etc, after 10 minutes I forget, and tend to bend my back again. I need something that FORCES me to keep it straight. Or at least to force me to remember to keep it straight. I have not found anything in the internet about this, which is odd because I consider it to be a very common problem. Nobody invented anything yet?

My husband is a truck driver and he was at a place to get loaded as he was walking up the steps he slipped and fell on some ice on the steps and shattered his wrist, and tore some tendons. He has to have surgery on his wrist and tendons, and they are going to put a pin in his wrist. The doctor says he will not be able to use his wrist for probably 2-6 months and it will be a year before it is back to normal. Should we sue the company he was at for not salting their steps and causing my husband to fall? What do you think? Thanks for your answers.

For the past 3 nights, I have had really sharp, almost cramp-type, pains on my lower right abdominal side...it comes and goes, but the past couple of nights, ive actually woken up and tossed and turned from the pain... i was wondering if this could be appendix related... ive never had any previous problem with my appendix, and to be honest, i dont know of any of the symptoms. does anyone know what else i would be feeling, symptom wise, for it to be a guarteneed appendix issue? im getting worried....

thank you! :)

I've had back problems (including an L4/L5 and L5/S1 laminectomy and partial diskectomy) but last week started getting numbness, weakness, and tingling down my leg, all the way to the foot. Yesterday it started tingling worse -- moving to the top of my foot, too. I went to the Urgent Care at the ER and they gave me a Medrol (predniosolone) pack in addition to Lortab. I also take Mobic and Zanaflex (anti-inflammatory and muscle relaxer).

What do you think? Should I be worried that I'm going to need additional surgery?

Is there a way to feel more comfortable? What should I do to help them heal? I fell on a tree during the ice storm three weeks ago and broke 3 ribs.

I usually have very nice looking lips. Around winter time, they start to get more chapped (i know that is common) but, when i use chap-stick, it doesnt really help. My lips arn't seriously chapped, just a little bit "flacky". I only use chap-stick in moderation (so my lips don't become deppendant on it for moisture) I've tried different brands, but they never really get soft.

Just as a side note, I've never had cold-sores or anything like that, just simply chapped lips. Also, my skin is in very good condition, (not dry or oily) So, any tips for how to fix chapped-lips?

I had a very rare cartilage transplant surgery in my left knee done 8 weeks ago. It was complete open knee surgery. I have been seeing a physical therapist since I woke up from the procedure and my range of motion has been terrible. If I don't get my full range of motion back in 3 weeks my doctor is going to do surgery again to remove scar tissue. The PT forcing my leg to bend and the exercises don't seem to be helping. I am able to bend to about 95 degrees, but that is it. I want to avoid surgery. Can anyone help? Has anyone been in this situation before? I will try anything...acupuncture, massage,, etc.... Thanks for yout help!

I'm a tall guy -- about 6'4". In my work I have some responsibilities that involve lifiting 30-60 lbs from the floor, or working with heavy materials requiring me to stoop down. All of this creates a lot of lower back pain for me. Any ideas on what I can do to prevent back injuries?
