The best thing to do is call a pharmacy and ask what would be best to take. They will give you some good advice. Please don't take what people on here suggest. Even though they might have good intentions. Too dangerous.

Dentist do not give you pain killers for filling teeth, you receive Novocaine to numb the nerve of the teeth so they may be worked on, the numbness usually goes away in a few hours and the teeth should not be causing you any pain,
is the pain in the teeth on is it just your gums and face are in pain from the injection sight., some people are highly sensitive to shots in the gums and the Novocaine itself, but you teeth should not be hurting you. if your teeth are truly hurting you they may have struck a nerve and done some damage, if the pain is not gone it 24 hours call your dentist. if it gets any worse, seek immediate medical attention. Take some advil for discomfort.

If you had a good dentist you shouldn't be feeling so much pain. Unless you have no threshold for pain. My suggestion is to find another dentist and they will see you to see if the dentist did not do his/her job right. You're current dentist might have not done something correctly like using sterile tools and you might have an infection (but generally an infection takes about 12 hrs to feel it). Anyways, go to the dentist to have it examed...it just doesn't sound right. I have yet to know anyone that has a good dentist complain of a filler...that's the reason why they fill in your tooth to prevent pain and take away.

Don't listen to these odd and stupid remedies....and you never ever ever mix acetophemine with alcohol...does quite a number on your pancreas, liver, and kidneys.

It will probably take about a week to heal up properly, and may feel sensitive for longer than that. If you are in pain, take paracetamol or ibuprofen. Cold is not a good way to help something heal - it numbs the surface, but can irritate the healing tissue. Rinsing your mouth with an antiseptic mouthwash, or just with a mild salt solution in lukewarm water, will be much more useful.

I just got my wisdom tooth filled in the waaaaaaaay back and my pain went away by the next day. I would think that three teeth might take another day or so. The pain will be over before you know it.

The best thing that I have found for dental pain is 800mg. of Ibuprofen. That is what my dentist recommended for me after I had bridges and after a root canal. It really worked well. Just remember not to take it more often than recommended on the bottle and to only take it for a few days(no more than 7). Wishing you the best and hope you feel better real soon.

Ibuprophen. A therapeutic dose for someone of average weight is 800 milligrams every eight hours. I'm NOT a doctor, and this is not a prescription, but that is what my doctor did for me way back when. Best of luck.
