hi,
Thesis: People should be concerned about the advertising their children are exposed to for three reasons: some advertising creates materialistic, illegal, and health behaviors.

Can anyone please give me supporting point for health behaviors?? or for the other reasons.

If you have something different about the three reason please tell me.

it is round and pinkish in color, the imprint is what looks like an 'S' with a box around/behind it.

i found a bottle of these in an old prescription bottle.

all the prescription said was

Lincoln Pharmacy, NJ

and the pills are dated back to 1964

I was sitting this morning and eating my daily grapefruit when a seed flew into my eye. I think it cut my eye open and some of the grapefruit juice got in. My eyeball is bleeding and swollen to at least twice as big. I can't see anything out of it either. I was going to go to the doctor but thought I would ask here first to see if was serious enough. I am a door-to-door scrapbook salesman and can't afford a doctor! I think I might ride this one out.

Just what exactly is 'cotton fever'? My son said that he shot drugs in his arm and a piece of fiber went into his blood stream.I don't buy that 'cause that would kill you if it hit your heart. So what is it and is it possible to spread it to my son.

my nail was just broken off... well not entirely, and i just want to know if it will grow back... it was torn off on the tip about one millimeter thick and blood was coming out... well off course blodd will come out... but im just worried... it dosent really hurt but its kinda cold... thats the feeling... its like ice on the tip of your finger... i just want to be re-assured that will it grow back? and if it will when? how long? does it suppose to hurt?? please do answer my question... i think im gonna die... plssssss

I cut my hand on a broken glass just over a week ago.
I had a really deep cut on the inside of my left index finger, right on the knuckle in the middle.
The cut was glued back together by a nurse, but down the inside of my finger I can't feel a thing past where the cut is. The other (outside) side of my finger is fine.
The cut itself seems to be healing fine, still a bit sore, but I'm unable to grip things properly and applying and stress to the finger hurts like fire.
Has anyone had a similar injury that's gotten better? The nurse didn't say anything about a severed nerve or tendon, but I've no idea how long I should be waiting for it to heal before worrying...

I am just now getting over a cold and when I blew my nose, both my ears were plugged with air pressure. I was able to get my right ear to pop, but still haven't been able to get my left one to pop all the way. I actually had been able to pop the left one earlier in the week and now it won't pop all the way. It still feels like there is a small bit of pressure in it. I have tried the holding my nose thing and it just creates more pressure, and also have tried the swallowing or chewing gum thing which worked for my right ear. What can I do? Or do I need to see a doctor?

Any experiences out there in Yahoo!land?

My insurance plan won't pay for it (my doc prescribed it), so I'll likely get another prescription for post-outpatient surgery pain unless people tell me they've had good experiences with it.

It wouldn't cost me a ton of money to pay for it myself, but I'm inclined to get a generic of something else for $10 on my insurance plan.

Thanks for anyone with knowledge/experience of this medication.

All of a sudden last night, I had a sharp pain in my chest under my right breast. It extends to the right armpit. It hurts when I touch it, move a certain way, or take a deep breath. I did nothing to injure it. Could it be muscular, a chest wall injury, cracked rib or cartilege damage? What could have brought it on, out of nowhere? Ibuprofin is not helping. I'm 35 and skinny. I actually had trouble getting the info I wanted online. Meningitis kept coming up. My 5yo dauhter has a stiff neck and it seems to be getting a little better,she's still in alot of pain when she moves it.
