First of all, if the doctor has already seen it and confirmed that nothing is seriously wrong then you can start your own investigation. Find out what aggrevates the problem. For me, it's wetness. If the air is very wet, I'll get runny nose. Same with piping hot food because the steam gets up my nose and liquifies as it cools down so I get runny nose again. For me dry conditions is the best. I couldn't spend a whole day outside without getting red raw skin around my nose from blowing it too much. Again, with food or drink I just have to wait for it to cool down a bit. Once you realise what is making the problem worse, you can take steps to reduce it. I don't think you can get rid of it properly if the doctor can't either.

For my sinusitis, I take a sinus tablet, use a sinus spray, and also use a saline spray which can be used as often as I want. This saline spray keeps the airways open, and stops that terrible itching feeling up my nose. I have showers and use a handheld nozzle and direct the warm water over my face to try and loosen everthing, including the headache that seems to take over my eyes and cheeks.

Go to a doctor and follow the advice.
I take medications for thyroid and am unable to take over the counter drugs for colds and sinus infections, so I have found that garlic supplements - found in your vitamin aisle - works at drying up my sinuses and Breath Easy tea.

Please be very careful to follow the directions on any otc spray you may be using. My husband over did it with the Flonase, and it made the problem worse. This winter we have used a humidifer every night, and it has helped us breath better.
