while i was drinking my caprisun, a piece of the sraw wrapper went into the straw and it's stuck in my throat. i cant cough it out or swallow it. it wont go down. what should i do? is it safe?

I just turned 30 I own my own business that does very well for my family and I. I am always going 100 mph. When I am not going 100 mph at work, I am rock climbing, sky diving, wake boarding, snow boarding, bow hunting, hiking, camping, fishing, boating, riding motorcycles or go-carts or snow machines. I have been taking great big bites outta life. When will I really notice age? What hits you first?

I had an accident. I fell and hit my head. I was taken to the ER where I was diagnosed head contusion and lumbar sprains, I still have pain in my lower back and headache they suspended my benefits and I am the doctor with my money, they said I was epilptic but my neurologist said nope how can I file an appeal? now that my chiropractor send me to work on ligh duty they neither found a job for me nor have paid my weekly check. I am desesperated they offered my lawyer $1500 but my lawyer is waiting for the medical records from the hospital. what can I do? Please I am getting short on money.
What would happen if I get a job in an office and I quit this job? I wouldnt be elegible for doctors care or what should I do?

I'm wondering, like if you came in after being hit by a car, or having an OD. Do they keep you in your clothes or do they get a nurse to put a gown on when you're knocked out...and then how do they do it if you are heavy and lying down?

About one month ago, I went running and after I was done, I had extreme pains going through both of my knees. I run frequently and have never had this problem before. After I felt this intense pain, I took it easy for a day or two. But my knees were swollen, and every time I got up from sitting or sat down, I felt very sharp pains in my knee. After about a week of this, the pain slowly went away. Now after a month a dont feel much pain at all. but i still feel the popping and when i put my hand on my knee and bend it, i feel the popping. is this normal. i bought a knee brace but when i wear it, it tends to make my knee hurt worse. is that normal? the pain is not noticeable much but every once in awhile i get pain. is this just part of the healing process or could it be worse even if there is hardly any pain, even with the popping and knee brace issues that i mentioned?

I was playing Basketball with some friends 1 week ago and took a shoulder in the ribs. It knocked the wind out of me but I was able to keep playing. The pain is bearable but constant a week later. I can't feel any structural damage and Ice helps to dull the pain. Is there any way of checking if the ribs are broken. There is no bruising in the area. My first thought was a bone bruise, but then I thought perhaps I seperated the ribs (if that's possible?)

The biggest problem I have is getting up, it feels like i have a torn abdominal muscle where the rib hurts. Sleeping is uncomfortable if I'm not in the right position. Any ideas or anyone have the same situation?

I can't see a point in going to the hospital as I can't see the doctors doing anything about it except billing me a ton of money.

I landed awkwardly on a friend's foot while playing basketball yesterday, and heard my ankle pop. It hurt somewhat, but the pain was bearable so I didn't stop playing. Got home and put ice and elevated it a while before heading to sleep. This morning, I can walk fine but with a small tickle on the ankle which is even less pain than the one I felt while playing last night, so I can probably play normally.

Is it alright to just bear through the pain and play basketball again or should I just rest and continue (PRICE) until the "tickle" goes away? I have an ankle brace I could use if needed and just bought new high cut shoes. Oh and maybe o/t but is it alright to wet the ankle? Say if I took a shower.

I gave blood in september and my friends that came with me said that I was a white as piece of papper . then when they took me to the other room i was still pale and i was cold and i was starting to sweat thats what they said and then the people took me temp and it was a little high and then i felt a little dizzy and then they laid me on the floor with my feet up and then they said that if i dont come out of it then they would have to call the EMTS and have them give me IV fluids. so what happen to me why did this happen? help me figure this out. please

I haven't strained to go to the bathroom for quite sometime and, I'm not really even sure what a hemorrhoid is. My dog is 11 years old And never had any health problems. About two weeks ago he had jumed off my bed and started crying. I felt it and streched it he doesnt seem to hurt anymore, but he wont walk on it. Nothing swollen, he will stand on it but wont walk. Im sure its not arthritis but what could it be???
