Sounds like an ear infection.. I have had a zillion of those and it made me partially deaf... It also could be the start of a sore throat, when I get one it sometimes feels like it is in/under my ear..
But you should see a dr, because ear infections do not go away on their own...
I hope you feel better soon.. In the mean time, get a heating pad, and lay on it with that side, it will make it feel so much better..

It could be TMJ syndrome. I have this and the pain extends from my ear into my cheekbone. Caused by stress and eating hard, crunchy foods. If this is the case, you'll have to eat a soft diet for a few days, take pain relievers, and try to de-stress you life and rest!

welcome to a root canal.....see a dentist...you think the pain is bad now....wait till it fully lights up, you wont' see straight.
pain will start at bottom of ear then feel like a rope around your ear. nerves on teeth are the closest to the brain so they give off the most pain responses.
gone through 3 of these myself....not fun. better to get it taken care of sooner than later.

I've had this before. It was just allergies. The eustacian tube that drains your ear could be inflamed and clogged. Try some claritin.

you have an ear infection. nothing too severe if treated properly. but if left untreated, your ear drum can burst, leaving you with hearing loss. and the infection can also enter your blood stream, causing even more severe problems.
