My recommendation is do not quit the job as you will lose any chance at unemployment benefits if you do and the case isn't settled properly in the workers comp matter if the situation comes to that . If your company refuses to give you a light duty job as the chiropractor suggest would be ok , they can not legally terminate you under law for health reasons without having to pay you unemployment provided you have been released for light duty work. So don't quit let them terminate you if they refuse to offer light duty. You can verify this by calling your local unemployment bureau .
Always tell your doctor if it's a result of an on the job injury. It is routine for companies to fight workers comp cases don't give up . You also have the right by law to see a doctor of your choosing this can not be dictated by the company you work for though they may wish to have you believe otherwise. Your attorney should well be aware of this . Also the doctor should have been willing to defer payment under the circumstances though may not be obligated to do so. I hope your attorney took your case on a contingency basis meaning if you get nothing he gets nothing. Before spending more money on an attorney see a general practioner and tell him of your health situation. He will recommend tests from an unbiased doctor not under obligation to the company you work for. I mention this only because I know some companies attempt to steer employees to a company contracted medical provider. You don't have to accept that , you can see the doctor of your choice and workers comp is responsible for the cost . If you have paid already , they should reimburse , plus you need to find out how this may affect your future. Good luck , start with explaining your health problems to an unbiased general practioner and take it further from there . That's my advice . Good luck too you !

You should be covered under Workman's Comp. This is National. You need to get a Lawyer and a good Doc. The Lawyer will make sure you get treated, and negotiate the expense.

You are covered, as long as you are a Legal U.S. citizen.

Get a better Lawyer.

Fast.

Ask someone you trust to recommend a good personal injury attourney. Or call your State's Attourney for a recommendation.

For the moment; Google, or Ask; Workmans Comp and hit enter. Explore your options.

Hi Serbusa, I have seen this a million times. I hate to say it, but it is going to get much worse before it gets better. These insurance companies will do everything they can to settle with you for very little money. It is a waiting game. They know you shouldn't work and they cut you off = and wait until you give in and accept a small settlement. Get a second opinion it's your legal right And hang in there. It will take forever but if you can make it financially, wait it out. That's what you have to do for a big settlement. Don't give up. Good Luck.

Remember the Dr. you went to is YOUR COMPANY DR. they will say what ever to get you back to work, or make you quit, they are not there for your best intrest!! You can find a lawyer that will take your case,( make sure it is a lawyer who knows how to handel W/C. I did a few years ago I had a nice settlement, I did not have to put up any money to my lawyer until my case was over. My Company Dr. sent me back to work even when I told them arm was still hurting they sent me to P/T, it still hurt ! I refused to go to work!! They Found out It was broken with a hairline fracture not seen on the 1st Ex-Ray.

My wife was also injuried at work, that required surgery. Go see a workman's comp lawyer, at least for a free consultation.

Good luck

let the attorney handle it, if they don't have light duty they have to pay you the workmans comp rate...its a pain, I know, I have been there. No one truly injured at work likes workmans comp, we would rather not have been injured.
