My dog is 11 years old And never had any health problems. About two weeks ago he had jumed off my bed and started crying. I felt it and streched it he doesnt seem to hurt anymore, but he wont walk on it. Nothing swollen, he will stand on it but wont walk. Im sure its not arthritis but what could it be???

Okay here's what to do. First of all aspirin is okay for dogs. Up to 325mg is safe for large dogs. At 11 years old he has probably stiffened up some what. You should also ask your vet about starting glucosamine capsules daily. My 14 year old Lab X Shepherd gets one capsule and one aspirin daily. She has the energy of a puppy.

Why don't you ask the vet?

And in response to the poster above, don't even think about giving your dog aspirin. Aspirin will kill a cat, and I believe it can be toxic for dogs as well.

He needs to see a vet, and if he is prescribed anything, it should be canine rather than human medicine.

My dog did the same thing. then he died, but thats not the point. Take him to the vets. He'll probably persribe meds. And prey he feels beter. Besides that there isnt much you can do.

A strain, a sprain, or a bruised ligament. Take fluffy to the vet.

It may be broken, or badly bruised. I would take him to a vet or an animal clinic.
