because i got into a habbit of cracking my back a year ago....and since then i never stop and would always be satisfied about it when i feel so tired or just stretching....

Can someone give some information about head injures, if someone could come out of it if they have a traumatic head injury? Yesterday on his way home from work my dad was in a car accident. He's in critical condition with head and internal injuries. A truck slid into his car on the ice head on.The doctors said that hes not brain dead but he still will not wake up. I've been crying all day. Im so scared, I made myself sick from crying and being scared. I can't go see my dad. My mom and even the doctors told me I have to go see him but I can't make myself do it. To make it worse there are things I need to tell him. I can't remember the last time I said I loved him or hugged him. He tells me he loves me every day and tries to make me hug him but I always push him away. I was talking to one of his nurses and she told me that touch is very important. But I can't make myself do it. Maybe Im scared he'll hear me or feel me. I dont know it just freaks me out!!! Could someone PLEASE reply!Thx!

She was walking and I went to touch her and I pushed her and she fell headfirst down the stairs!!!!!!! She laid there for about 1 minute and got up, dusting herself off!I think I'll call 911!! It looks serious! She didnt say anything except that I was a jerk when she got up! Should I check her over for bruises, cuts and lacerations?? She refuses to ever go to the doctors, should I carry her to the car and drive her there?? Oh no!! MY MOM!!!

I began fencing a few months ago, and although at first my hands were fine afterward, recently the right side of my ring finger on the hand I hold the foil with had been going numb after several bouts. At first the sensation -or lack thereof- would only last for a day or so and I figured it was simply because of the new activity, but after the most recent practice the finger continued to feel strange for over a week. Have any other fencers experienced this, and does anyone know how to prevent it?

Thing is I faked a cold at work so that I could go to disneyland 2 weeks ago. And I have a REAL cold now and they're gonna tell me to go home. I dont want to get caught in a lie.... SO

When you recover from a cold, are you immune for a while?
and if so, for how long are you not gonna get a cold again?

Unfortunately I fell forward on a ice patch last night and now my knee is swollen. I don't think I broke a bone because I felt fine and walked home last night. This morning I woke up with my knee very swollen. I'm wondering if its just from the impact of falling on my knee or maybe because it's something more serious.... I've tried to ice pack my knee and so far it's provided some comfort. Also there is not visible bruising on my knee... HOw should I proceed from here ?

first off, isnt contact and glasses prescription the same? I had my eye checked 2 years ago, I really should get them checked but i dont want to pay. I just want contact lenses... so when they fit you how much do you pay? Do they give you a new prescription for the lenses?

I have tried so many times to stop smoking and find myself back in the same rut with the guilt to boot. I know that its unhealthy,costly, but yet the addiction part of it gets me everytime.I really don't want to wake up anymore wanting a cig,or crave one during stressful times . I want to go into 2007 smoke free.any advice would be well appreciated.I have thought about patches,hypnosis,zyban. I have this sharp pain on the upper left side of my back. It only is there when I breathe deeply. I'm 19 years old, and fairly active. And i'm not a smoker. I also sometimes get a similar pain that feels like its in my heart every time I breathe. Are these related, and what could be causing them??

Has any one experience tremours with Fibromyalgia?
I need your help,
I have a constant tremour in my right leg (sometimes even my left) as well as my right arm, constant chronic pain, Verigo, bowel problems,cannot bear heat or cold, and many other symptoms.

I just want to know, are these symptoms caused by fibromyalgia, as my Doctors keep on telling me they don't know what is causing the tremour, etc, as such they will not officialy diagnosed me with Fibromyalgia.

Please let me know
