Thing is I faked a cold at work so that I could go to disneyland 2 weeks ago. And I have a REAL cold now and they're gonna tell me to go home. I dont want to get caught in a lie.... SO

When you recover from a cold, are you immune for a while?
and if so, for how long are you not gonna get a cold again?

Actually, no. If you live with some one & get them sick, you can get it back again.

Never say you have the cold when you are faking... or when you really have it for that matter. Keep what you have vague, just say I can't come into work, I feel horrible, I'm coughing and it hurts to talk for example. By giving them a few examples of your symptoms you haven't clammed to have a cold or a flue or a stomach virus, but you've also created a situation where you are going to spread germs (coughing) you've created a picture in their heads and they won't want you to come in. And then if you really get a cold a few weeks later just say, that you never really got over it you can have the cold for over two weeks by the way but you were trying to tough it out and it only made the situation worse (now you've created a situation where you are bravely persevering for the greater good but have overextended and you are now suffering because you work so hard.) I'm telling you it really works. Even if they know it's bull **** they won't call you on it if you play it like that. It's the elaborate or silly that usually gets people in trouble. There are so many different angles on playing sick, but just be smart and simple about it and, tell yourself the lie about five times or so first in your head and out loud so when you do it in person or on the phone you will almost convince yourself even.

I have to say...you shouldn't of lied in the first place, but you'll be forgiven for Disneyland.

You're not immune. My children and I always seem to share when it comes to getting sick. We just pass it from one to another; it's like being sick for weeks. In either case, you could just still be sick. It is possible to feel better while feeling bad. .

Ok so basically you lied and can get away with it if you work with it, but you shouldn't lie. It's wrong.
So, hey, you're safe

There are more viruses than creatures on earth. You can easily catch anything at any time. If you immune system is low (after a cold) you can easy catch another bug.

Isn't life sh*te?

No, there are over 300 cold viruses circulating out there so you can catch several different kinds of colds. Just don't lie about the flu because that one really only circulates one type of virus per season.

it is very high chance to get another cold again if the first one was not totally recovered. You can tell them most likely you might not totally recovered, that is why you got again.

no, you're not immune. there are hundreds, if not thousands, of different strains of colds. So it's quite possible to catch one after another.
