I have tried so many times to stop smoking and find myself back in the same rut with the guilt to boot. I know that its unhealthy, costly, but yet the addiction part of it gets me everytime.I really don't want to wake up anymore wanting a cig,or crave one during stressful times . I want to go into 2007 smoke free.any advice would be well appreciated.I have thought about patches, hypnosis, zyban. I'd rather not take another prescription im already on four others. feel free to write back or message me. by the way my name is Susan.

I know three people who have tried it and they no longer smoke.
They say they have no urge what so ever to smoke now. It has been four years for one now.

I am in the same boat you are and am giving it serious thought.
For $75, it can't hurt. Two weeks worth of smokes.

Good luck!

Hypnosis works for some people. It doesn't work for others. I had two friends that went through it to quite smoking. It worked for them, but when I tried it, it did not work for me. If you really want to stop smoking try it. Just remember very few people manage to stop smoking on the first attempt. If you don't make it the first time don't give up just keep on trying. Evidently you will succeed. As far as the patches, and gum is concerned they will take the edge off. Good Luck and let us know how you made it.

Hi Susan,
I'm constanly now being asked "How Do I Stop Smoking?"
I really emphathise with you, I quit my 20 a day habit in a pain-free way!
No stress, no cravings, no weight gain, no pills, patches or gums.
The program I followed was recommended by a friend and now boasts a 90% success rate and is 100% fully guaranteed - can't say fairer than that

The statistics most often quoted are between 60% to 80% for hypnosis being a successful strategy to quit smoking. This is very good, but when combined with NET or TFT or acupuncture 80% to 90% is common.

My husband quit 15 yrs ago with hypnotism. He walked out of the hypnotists office, reached in his pocket for a cig and thought, "but you don't smoke". He hasn't had one since. I'm sure some are quacks, but if you can find a good one, it's a great way to go! The one he went to was in Crystal Lake, IL. Sounds like you are READY to quit and that's half the battle. Good luck!

Everyone is different. I know people it has worked for, but it never worked for me. Consider acupuncture though, that did work for a short time for me. Also, the laser treatment is supposed to work well.
