Why does the nurse sometime slap your butt before an injection there? Has anybody experienced this? What'd you do after?
It kind of freaked me out.

by slapping the area it tends to decrease the pain of the needle stick

Do you know basketball terminology, 2 points for a good shot.the guys and gals slap each other on the buttocks all the time on the court, so she might think the same way but it's only a different type of shot....ouch!!! No seriously, a nice firm slap on the butt..creates a sting...before the sting goes away she injects you right in that spot, it should not hurt as much , if she didn't do it.....she just numbed it firmly and quickly, she should have warned you what she was doing, though...

I have had many shots in the butt and have never been slapped there before or after.

when I provide my horse an injection, I punch her neck truly troublesome previously I jab the needle in. This quickly brings a numbing sensation to the section and also will strengthen blood bypass so as that the drugs is sent into the blood stream faster. same difficulty!

...slapping your butt by a nurse maybe is a sign that the process has already done therefore you need fix your self already...or maybe there's no really big deal on it you might have just give meaning to it...or maybe.........i don't know???

hahahaha I dont know kiddo but it's quite amusing. If it really bothered you though I am sorry and you should find out by looking it up online. It may help to find the injection site they are trying to hit. Who knows

the shock from an *** slap negates the needle pain , it helps briefly numb the area that is gonna get pricked
