I think I may have done something to my rotator cuff. It hurts to rotate my arm in just about any direction. Is this always serious or will it get better on it's own?

We are in the process of switching Drs. cua his other doctor didn't think much of it. I ask him what did he eat in school, when did he last have a BM. what could cause this? or is this nerves or attention? I hope someone can help. Thank you.

Has anyone ever heard of Norco 10mg/325mg tabs. I know it is hydrocodone, But what I want to know is if I can also take ibuprofen in between doses. I have severe lower back pain, I think it is my sciatica acting up again. Any info will be appreciated.

I am about to have knee replacement surgery 12-19. Please let me know what you went through with recovery.

I am already aware of the pain, buising, and PT.

Please be specific on how long you were hospitalized, how long you had to stay in bed before the doctore told you to start moving. Advice on bathing around the incision. Trips to the bathroom?

Thanks for all of your helpful input.

I went to my ob this past tuesday due to what I thought was a UTI. NP confirmed UTI and prescribed Keflex. After day 3 Keflex STILL hadn't kicked in and pain was SO intense I asked for something stronger so they prescribed Levaquin and Pyridium for the pain. Took both at 10:30a on Thursday and by 3:30p still no pain relief. Called pharmacist who said I should be having SOME relief due to the pyridium. Went to Er where they did a bunch of blood work that came back ok, pelvic exam that came back ok. They did however say there is 'a lot' of blood in my urine. They also said there is some sort of fluid that I'm leaking but they don't know from where so they took a culture that takes a few days. I'm on my second day of a 3 day dosage of Levaquin and have exhausted the pyridium and there is STILL intense pain when I urinate. Am I being impatient or have I possibly been misdiagnosed. Shouldn't the symptoms at least be all gone? Am I being impatient? Help

I play guitar, blues guitar, which involves a ton of bending - my middle finger nail as a result slowly gets the skinned ripped off from underneath it, causing it to bleed and usually make me take a break for a few days. I've heard of putting super glue under nail to prevent this any opinions? (Plz no guitar "guru" help such as "change your string gauge - tune down half step, etc - )

I am young so I am not guessing any heart problems at all very healthy and active. some times it just happens randomly and when it does and I try to take a deep breath the pain gets sharper.. any ideas about this?

I'm a little apprehensive about my surgery. I know its minor with the vein-stripping, but i get bad thoughts about a mistake happening during the operation. The last one wasn't succesful, and it happened to be that i was one of the 5% that was unsuccesful as opposed to the %95 successrate. Is there anyway, if possible, that something tragic could happen that would result in leg amputation? Or would the doctor just have to be really incompetent, but my one surgery with him already went awry by not being successful. I just need some assurance. Could you help me?

Not sure how I did it but I husrt my shoulder while working out. The pain is intense and is from my neck thru elbow area, starting from the shoulder area(right side). I cant lift it to brush my teeth or change my shirt or pull my pants up or down. Nothing helps, not even vicodin. I tried vicks and my entire arm went very tingly and numbish except I could still feel pain which actually felt worse. Related?
Whats a good way to heal this arm fast and when is a doctor needed?

I personally enjoy blowing smoke rings, and something which keeps me busy while watching a movie or something. I decided to smoke cigarettes however I didn't like taste and the fact that it harms me too much. I picked up pipe smoking, but the tongue burn quickly outweighed the pleasure. I smoked cigars, same as cigarettes, finally though I found what I was looking for, a hookah. But recently I've been reading that hookah is even worse than cigarettes, though I have never experienced any of the fatigue, coughing or phlem it says I should have. However smoking nicotine in whatever form just is not good for you. And that got me thinking, is there NOTHING that's very little harmful to smoke? Don't tell me, pot.. I am over that, and I know carbonmonoxide and lack of oxygen to the brain will always be associated with smoking, but what about something without tar, or metals, or nicotine, and preferrably not mind altering. Anyone have any experience?

Accidents That Need a Doctor's Care
Yesterday you were out shooting some baskets or maybe playing some touch football when you made this sudden turn and heard a soft "pop." Soft popping sounds don't usually get you excited, but this one came from your knee. The next thing you knew, your hands were wrapped around that rascal and your eyes were filled with tears of pain.

Today you woke up with swelling, tenderness, radiating pain, and perhaps some discoloration and loss of motion.

What kind of damage could have occurred? Well, there are basically three common forms of destruction to choose from: torn cartilage, a torn ligament, or both.

What should you do about it: That's easy. Put it on ice and go to a doctor—today.

I got this ^^^^ information from google and it pretty much describes my situation with my knee. But still I don't have any further information and I would really really appreciate some help from a doctor who knows about this...

The pain, esp. at night, is horrible. i've never experienced the like. It burns in my "stomach" and gut - then up through my chest and in my back. This "pain/agony" lasts throughout the night (esp.) - I wake up, feel the dull-clunk of pain in gut...
What is this? It's happened to me during the past 2-3 months...Absolutely hurts...

I burned the inside of my arm right below the crook of my elbow on a hot cookie sheet. There was a little skin bubble that peeled off, and now I am keeping neosporin and a band-aid on it. The skin looks red, but not infected or anything. How long should it take for it to heal? Is there anything I can do to make it heal faster?
