I recently sprained my ankle in October while playing in a basketball game. I was taken to the doctor two days later and XRays were taken, but no fracture was found. This was confirmed by TWO doctors and a physical therapist. The following weekend in November I played in two more basketball games. After those games I was taken to get an MRI. The MRI results showed that I had a complete fracture of the fibula right above the malleolus, and upon seeing these results, the orthopedic surgeon said she was SHOCKED! My question is, is it possible that the fracture occurred because I played on my ankle in a weakened state? I really need a medical professional to answer this, and give me some sort of proof or medical documentation to back the answer up. I need it for possible legal reasons because I am playing professional basketball, and the team is trying to get out of paying me for November because supposedly the fracture occurred in October even though it wasn't discovered until November.

I was wanting to know how to live in this situation. I have a 5 & 6yr old and I want to be around to see them grow up. I never let them see my pain but they tend to sense it. I want to know if there is a really good program that can help me without shoving meds down me. The medication is part of the reason I am having my problems.(Side Affects) I am only 39 years and I there is a lot of things I still want to do but my body due to the pain I am always in will not allow it. I am an 18 year Army Veteran. Plus I am Air Borne. So you know there are back problems as well. I don't want pitty. I want serious answers. I would like to go back to school and finish my degree. Then go back to work. My son and my daughter know that I am retired but they even said that I should go back to work. They know that I am retired but they also know where my heart is. Children are very smart and we some times take that for granted. We should listen to them more. And this is the main reason I ask.

My eyes and mouth feel dry, my lips are chapped, my eyes seem sunken in and my skin doesn't feel very soft.. I don't like water so sometimes I go for a long time without. Is this dehydration? Will these symptoms go away if I drink water? How long will it take?

I seem to feel constantly tired, i wake up feeling unrefreshed. I sometime have a lie down and think i'll just have alittle sleep for an hour but i am asleep for three hours and still feel tired. I do struggle sometimes to get to sleep at night, but surely i shouldn't be this tired and its begining to really get me down. I also have a loss of appetite which occurs every two to three weeks, although i do try to eat healthily and take vitamins i can't seem to get my weight above 8stone. Now i'm feeling depressed because i feel so run down and i'm 23. Anyone help???

I started having back pain about 3 or 4 years ago. I'm not sure if I did something to cause it or it just an unknown occurance. The pain is always in the lumbar and Sacral region. I'm not sure exactly how to explain it because it hurts all the time and then will go away..... but will still be there just not and intense as before.

he has nerve damage in his front laft leg, and he limps. the vet says not to remove the leg as he uses it to balance. since the weather has turned to wet and rainy/cold he is having a hardtime traveling up and down staires. nedd some input for overthecounter meds to help him

I recently viewed a movie about nudity. This was a fictional movie, but brought about an idea that I wa contemplating. It showed a surgical team performing surgery "in the nude".

If a surgical team still wore gloves and mask, would it still be sanitary for them to wear nothing else? A rather bizarre idea, I agree, but one of those thoughts that people ponder in their off time.

I apologize if this offends anyone (this is not my intent), but just an interesting question.
