Sometimes after I eat pancakes or something like that I get sharp pains in my shoulder and around my heart ... does this happen to anyone else or just me?

Yes, I have this condition. There's something about the sweetness of syrup that causes reflux esophagitis--that's what it's called.

You might cosider an OTC product like Prilosec OTC. It will no doubt help this. Just take it before you eat something that doesn't agree with you. Best of health to you!

I agree with using Prilosec OTC. However, if this condition persists then check with a doctor to see if you have gallstones.

Could be gall stones. If it continues or gets worse talk to your doctor. They will do an ultrasound and look for stones.
