Sounds like something in your upper spine is out of alignment. Do you spend a lot of time sitting? It's so important to stretch your muscles often throughout the day. Unless it's too painful, do stretching exercises, and do them often, especially around the shoulders, back and neck. Hope you feel better.

You tightened up your back muscles with that hit and is the reason you can't move your arms any higher or across your body, the muscles aren't letting you do that without a great deal of pain. Your neck would also have whiplash, tightened up muscles there as well to cause the pains in your neck. To get rid of the pains you have to free up your back and neck muscles to release that ones that are tight and that should help your collar bone as well, and here's how to free them up: Back: (do while sitting on a chair) Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder, fingers over the back and the palm in the front, and firmly pull down on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward and to the outside of your left leg, keeping your left arm as straight as possible. When you reach your lap remain there for another 10 seconds, then release the pressure but rest there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side. For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed. Neck: Place your hands behind your head so your fingers meet in the middle of your neck. Press into the neck with a moderate pressure and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your head as far as you can, then remove the pressure from the muscles but continue holding your head down for another 30 seconds. For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.

It could be a lot of things. Have you strained yourself doing some sort of exercise or activity? If your pain is severe then you better go to the emergency room of a hospital or call you doctor and go immediately to see him.

Might be pinched nerve, or us with forms of arthritis it is hitting some of us real hard!
Go in get it checked out. If it can be resolved why not do it? There is blood tests now for certain kinds of arthritis. If this is the case you can start reading, researching ways to control the kind of arthritis you have?
Good luck, Ibuprofen is not so hard on your stomach as aspirin is...or I think so have been taking it now for over 20 years for my forms of arthritis's.
Be real careful of those chiropractors - they can do nothing if it is arthritis, then again I have been told to NEVER go to them?....

It is due to blockage of flow of Vital Energy. Therefore it can't be cured with medicines. Acupuncture treats it.
I suspect severe constipation too that you can confirm. If it is treat with vegitables and salads.
